I’m somebody who cherishes a visit to the Sea Life Centre but then if time is rigid I tend to steer away. There’s always this prejudgment that all Sea Life’s are identical & trust me they aren’t. You may see the likenesses in regards to the Aquatic Species but they all have their characteristics & themes throughout. So, let’s get into this blog post.
Arrival / Exterior:
Upon arrival, the building facade is stunning which corresponds to the other two Merlin attractions along the row. Getting inside was very easy to do. Before getting into the attractions depths, you have to walk over a glass floor that has sharks beneath, it’s an experience in itself. You can catch the lifts or take the stairs up to the heart of the attraction.
Theming:
It just has to be one of the best when it comes down to themes which I have done so far. We have done the Yarmouth, Blackpool & Birmingham ones for more of an idea as to the comparisons we have in mind. Each of the rooms has its themes and there isn’t any room for improvement in my opinion. The attention to detail is impeccable. Again the theming broadened to the point that even any seats within the rooms were also well-themed. The audio throughout was fab as well.
Species & Their Environment:
I found this Sealife to have a wider spectrum of species in comparison to others. I’m sure it’s the first Sea Life which I have visited that have Crocodiles. The tanks are some of the largest I have ever seen. That normal big tank you have at every Sea Life that has the tunnel walkway, well that is the biggest one I have seen with some of the biggest Rays & Sharks I have ever seen. I was astonished. All of the tanks came across so clean and the fish/animals all looked in excellent condition. Lovely to see everything looking so effortlessly perfect.
Duration & Interactives:
For some reason, I headed in thinking it’ll be a reasonably brief length. I was very wrong. It was a good hour & a bit to get around. Throughout there were numerous interactive aspects to partake in. One of which was the typical rock pool when you can touch the Star Fish etc. The next was something a little more different which was a VR sit Experience, it’s nothing something which I have seen done previously. The majority of the rooms had their little interactive parts like screens etc.
Is It Worth The Money? & My Overall Thoughts:
Yes, it’s 100% worth a visit. If you are a Merlin Annual Pass your family & friends can enter alongside you for ONLY £10. To retrieve this perk for yourself, click HERE. The length of the attraction alone is well worth the visit in my opinion. It has become my favourite Sea Life I have ever done. There was this uplifting and optimistic vibe all the way around and each room just blew me away with the level of attention to detail. It was a tremendous surprise for us from our visit it blew our expectations out of the water.
What’s your favourite Sea Life Centre?
