Pre-Season Reminders – 2022 Edition

It’s become a yearly tradition for me to share a pre-season blog post, just to politely remind those visiting theme parks in the coming months of the fundamental things to remember. Therefore, let’s get on!

New Staff Will Be Training:

With any new theme park season there often produces an influx in new staff. Please, remember they are NEW. They will not know the ins & outs of maintaining operations to the max at first. Therefore, be considerate and respectful to them during this what is commonly a stressful time for anyone within their new role. It could mean that the ordinary fast past operations aren’t at their sharpest but that’s okay and remember it’s okay too. Tell them they are doing a tremendous job & don’t forget to thank them for assuring your safety or opening the exit gate. Manners cost nothing.

If you’re a new staff member about to venture on your new adventure, you have got this! Take your time comprehending the ropes and remember you are doing an excellent job. By Time know it’ll be as if you’ve been working at the park for years, it really will be. So, congrats on getting your job & the best of luck!!

Rides Are Going To Breakdown:

Its unavoidable rides will cease operation from time to time & again it’s natural and often can’t be helped. It’s a sign your safety is key which is always great. More often than not breakdowns occur due to guest actions. Therefore, follow the rules exhibited within the Ride area and more importantly keep those mobile phones safely away. It is not the staff’s issue there is an issue, so again manners cost nothing.

Staying Safe & Respecting One Another:

There is a still pandemic happening. Therefore, remain safe where face mask where you feel is required and respect those around you. Nobody wants you huddled against their backs so always be conscious about those in front & behind you whilst queuing. It’s all about guaranteeing you are being respectful to yourself & those who are around you. Even if you don’t wish to take steps anymore within the pandemic just think of those who could be vulnerable.

Pre-Booking Is Still A Thing:

For the past 2 seasons, pre-booking has become the forefront of everyone’s minds when planning theme park visits. This is still very much the case. So, don’t forget to ensure you have pre-booked your tickets in advance to ensure your entry. Don’t be caught out by assuming they any longer check these neither.

Have Fun:

Lastly but certainly not least. Have fun. I know this hobby for those enthusiasts can sometimes feel like a weird place to be but let your hair down and have a bit of fun. Of course, if you feel unsafe during any visits inform a member of staff or security. But precisely speaking this hobby is purely based upon fun, so have some! It’s a new season & a great time to loosen up and find escapism once again within these thrill-filled adventures that are yet to be had this year!
