If you didn’t know we did a Q&A earlier this year with the marketing manager Andrew link will be left here. The PR team kindly gifted us our entry this visit which was lovely of them and we are so thankful. Just a quick disclaimer all of this blog is our opinions and is not influenced by the park in any way. We hope you enjoy.
Egg- Spress & Surrounding Area:
Its a coaster which we thought we’d never get the opportunity to ride given it’s been sat SBNO for a little while. However, it’s fab to see it come back to life after a few years and the re-theme is gorgeous. It took us by surprise just how well themed that little area is now in comparison to previous years. We found the coaster pretty enjoyable and perfect for families, it was our 70th coaster too!
The surrounding area is stunning and has been themed perfectly. Other buildings/rides nearby are all themed to match the barn theme. The park has some real potential and have demonstrated it lovely within that little bit of the park.
High Dive Show:
We visited last year specifically for this show and loved it so we came back again. It never fails to amaze us. The stuntmen/divers are so talented and the show demonstrates their skills in an incredible way. There’s many moments of where your on the edge of the seat from some of stunts pulled and plenty of crowd interaction which is always fun really.
It’s a show we hope to see return again next season as we always have so much fun watching it. I’d highly recommend anyone heading to pleasurewood Hills very soon to check it out. The show ends sadly Sunday 1st September and daily showings are 11:30 & 2 pm.
Other Rides / Attractions / Shows:
Pleasurewood Hills is home to some of the UKs unique rides/coasters. One of their main coasters is Wipeout the UKs only thrill Vekoma boomerang. It’s an enjoyable ride with rougher edges similar to any older Vekoma really. One of our personal favourites on the park is the Cannonball Express which was sadly shut due to essential maintenance this time. But they have so many rides which are worth visiting for without a doubt.
There’s plenty of shows on offer as well such as the sea lion and parrot show which unfortunately we missed this time. But we hope to check them out next year instead but I’ve heard so much good stuff about them.
Overall / Future:
Since last year there have been countless improvements across the park which has been lovely to see. The landscaping/gardening has improved hugely and the park looks really beautiful and pretty. It was very clean and accommodating with several more benches around. None of the rides looked weathered and all looked/ ran at their best. It’s a truly incredible park and perfect for families given the amount on offer.
We’ve always loved Pleasurewood Hills it’s a park we’ve always enjoyed and hoped to spread the word about really. We feel it doesn’t get spoken about anywhere near as much as it deserves and we will continue to work alongside the park / support them for many years to come. Something we’d love to see within the next few years is similar work and theming like the Egg-Spress but across the park.
If you haven’t visited Pleasurewood Hills this season we 100% recommend you do!
Thank you for reading and a massive thank you to the incredible PR team at Pleasurewood Hills for gifting us entry to visit.
