Well lately there’s been a fair few announcements for brand new rides within the UK set to open in 2020. So let’s have a chat about Tornado Springs and what we know so far.
Tornado Springs:
Paultons Parks a few months ago shared the concept art for their brand new area which looks insane. The area has various new offerings including a brand new coaster which is a Mack Spinning. This will be our first ever Mack spinning coaster which is really exciting. From the concept art of the coaster it looks to be a decent length and is the only one of its type within the UK. The name Storm Chaser is a pretty decent name. Maximum height as we know at the minute is 20m (65ft) above the ground.
Another new ride coming to this area is a gyro swing called The Cyclonator, which I’m here for! Going by the likes of Maelstrom at Drayton Manor I’m down for this kind of addition. This flat ride will rise to heights of 25m (82ft).
Als Auto Garage is a themed driving school ride with around 30 electric cars. I gather this will be similar to the likes of Grand Prix at Blackpool Pleasure Beach. I’m hoping they allow adults without kids to embrace this ride not going to lie. I adore these type of rides and experiences.
Outside of rides that will be added there’s also a Route 83 diner family restaurant been added. Theming is looking immense for this incredible area. Something else which will be added for the children is two new playgrounds called parking lot tots and junkyard junction. Both of which will be aimed and catered for differing age range.
The whole American heyday of 1950s theme is something I’m loving from the concept pictures. I’m hoping this area has that classic America audio to go with it as well. This kind of theme is something I feel I’m going to adore for sure. Visually it looks like it could turn out to be the best themed area within the UK. The way the rides, shops and food outlets are all themed is gorgeous from what we’ve saw. I’m so excited to head back to Paultons Park next season to check out this brand new area. We hope to bring you a wide range of coverage!
