A few weeks ago we finally headed to Legoland Windsor to experience their brand new attraction for 2019. So here’s our full review and spoilers will be included.
Exterior / Audio:
The outside looks beautiful with the theming and the audio is fab. When we visited they had the character mascots out the front too which was exciting for the younger children. The queue line doesn’t necessarily have massive amount of theming but is extremely long for those summer days. They batch two groups for each side of the swing at the end meaning throughputs are fab. The building is beautiful and certainly is pretty on the eye minus the side where you exit, which doesn’t look finished yet. However the mood gets set by the exterior building and audio.
Entering & Pre Show:
When entering the ride building itself you head up some stairs with some effects. Whilst walking up there’s a flash of lighting and some theming. Admittedly it distracted me and almost made me trip and die.
So entering the pre show what looks to be frames are actual screens. They are very discreet and that adds to the incredible factor for the ride. The pre show is incredible with the frames around the edges also been screens meaning a full experience all way round. It’s very groovy and definitely can agree with the reference to “disco Hex”.
Ride Itself:
The ride itself is definitely bigger than The Haunting and just little smaller than Hex in my opinion. Obliviously there’s two sides to the swing with theming of a party table in the middle. At one end of the ride is another screen with the Lego figure as a DJ. It’s adorable as he bops along as the ride begins and the party gets into full swing.
Vekoma Madhouses are always quite forceful but this one is easier on the stomach if your anything like me and Hex makes you feel pretty sick. The ending of the ride comes with a surprise ghost figures on the dance floor above your head. The smaller details within this room adds to the incredible experience.
Exit Corridor / Steps:
It’s the only area that could do with small improvements even if it’s just some frames adding to the walls.
Overall Thoughts:
It’s so adorable and a fab addition to the Legoland line up. The entire experience was so different in comparison to other Vekoma madhouses we’ve experienced. But I think that’s why it’s definitely my favourite. The audio is so groovy and it just feels like, a massive party all the way through. Personally I’m in love with it and cant wait to visit again in September to re ride.
