Autumnal Trip To Blackpool Tower Eye – October 2023

A nice peaceful Monday in Blackpool is perfect for getting those visits into the Merlin Attractions up the north end of Blackpool. We visited all 3 of the main attractions. But let’s begin the blogs with Blackpool Tower!

Getting In:

Heading up to level 5 to enter the Tower Eye experience. Where you’re welcomed by a photo opportunity with the green screen and to scan your tickets. After this, you head around into the waiting area for the 4D experience. Along the way are some facts regarding the history.

4D Film:

This has been the same 4D experience for numerous years now. Due to my being pregnant, we chose to skip it as we’ve seen it enough. However, if you’ve not seen this before definitely check it out. It’s all about Blackpool, history, the attractions & Isle of Man. It’s a really lovely experience.

The Attraction Itself:

You then head to the lifts that take you to the top of the Tower. This lift is actually relatively brisk so if you are like me & not a fan of heights it’s over before you know it. You then are greeted by the glass floor that overlooks the comedy carpet on the promenade. On a clear day you can see the Isle of Man which is really cool. At the moment this area is decorated beautifully for autumn and really feels warm & welcoming. There is no time limit on how long you can stay up here & you have an additional two floors you can explore too. Something we saw open for the first time in a few years is the bar which overlooks Blackpool!

Other Attractions Inside The Tower:

Inside the Tower are several other attractions too including The Dungeons, Circus & Ballroom. There’s also a crazy golf course as well. You could easily spend hours just embracing all that is on offer within the Tower itself.

Overall:

I absolutely love visiting The Blackpool Tower Eye it’s become an attraction we’ll do once every few years. There’s just something about seeing Blackpool from an aerial view that’s quite exceptional. The fact it also gets decorated to suit the season is also fab and provides some tremendous photo opportunities. It’s one of those nice and relaxed attractions that anybody can appreciate. You don’t have to stand on the glass if you don’t enjoy heights or are too frightened that’s easily avoided. The fact there’s no time limit on how long you take also helps make it a more delightful experience. Of course, it’s included in your Merlin Annual Pass so why would you not visit?
