Welcome to Disney week! Every day until Sunday I will by uploading a new Disneyland Paris blog post. The context of each will vary and I’m starting here today with a hotel review!
Pricing & Check In:
We booked this trip at a time where there was an offer in place for cheap accommodation. We paid exactly £420 for 2 nights & 3 days’ worth of tickets for the two of us to stop over but Ant’s brother’s tickets were an additional £165 on top of this due to adding him on at a later date. Therefore the overall costs then came to £585 which we then added a half board on top but that’s for another blog.
Check-in was simple. Head inside the reception to the desk to then collect your park tickets & meal plan if that’s something you’ve invested in. Our room was not ready until 2 pm although check-in is allegedly 3 pm. It could always be earlier than this bear in mind.
Car Parking & Shuttle Bus Service:
Upon arrival security will check your boot and reservation before entering the car park however if you’re coming through with a travel company on a transfer bus you won’t have to worry about that.
Simply park up in reception to then find out where you’re staying within the resort to then move your car to the said place or at least nearby.
The main issue we found with this hotel is the lack of shuttle buses. They are not all that regular, unfortunately. Around every 10-15 minutes one will show up and often it’ll be an awkward squeeze. This is something I think needs some improvements.
Theme:
Of course, this hotel is cars themed. The theming is minimalistic yet fun too. There’s nothing to in your face but everything is incredibly detailed as well.
Breakfast:
We had half board as our meal plan meaning breakfast was incorporated in. This was an alright place to eat in comparison to Chuck Wagon at Cheyenne. There was a variety of the typical breakfast-like foods you’d eat here in the UK. The food quality It was also rather lovely too. We found the earlier you get to breakfast the better as you will have a quieter time anything pre 8 am.
The Room:
So, the rooms themselves were pretty damn cool. The amount of attention to detail to making it feel more cars-themed was wonderful. We initially had one room with two double beds but received a free upgrade to then have two attached but separate rooms. One of which had a shower only bathroom & the other had a bath. With most Disney hotels you receive free toiletries which always smell lush. The bathroom was a decent size within our room. Although the bath itself was very small which seems to be an occurring pattern.
I found the beds exceptionally comfortable to the point it was tricky to get out of in the morning. There were a lot of cool things to look at such as the lamp which was a traffic cone.
All in all I quite like these rooms. I do prefer them to Hotel Cheyenne.
Check Out:
Check-out is now automatic from 11 am. I quite like this hassle-free procedure as it’s one less thing to think of and fret about.
Facilities:
The hotel has its own shop & Starbucks. Two things I love having inside a Disney Hotel. In the reception is also a space where meet & greets take place in the evenings (only I believe). The characters differ on a daily during our stay there was Max & Mickey Mouse. I also believe their outfits are intended to match the theme of the hotel too which is cute.
Not to forget the restaurant and baggage hold too. Upon check out, if you aren’t travelling by car you can leave your luggage in the little hut to the side of reception which is beneficial in itself.
Overall:
For the price, we paid we were pleased with this hotel. I prefer it to Hotel Cheyenne. I found the overall theme more desirable and the comfort levels a lot higher within our rooms too. Again the on-site restaurant was miles better too. It’s something I’d be more than happy to stop again. I know it’s the budget hotel out of the bunch but it was very enjoyable and worthwhile.
