Scare Review | Trailers: Breakout at Bozo’s *SPOILER FREE*

One of my all-time favourite scare mazes to ever be created opening during the Summer.. well I couldn’t miss out on the opportunity to get back inside. Clowns taking over Trailers.. what could they get up to?!

Up-charge & Queue:

A very rational cost in my opinion costing £6 for guests who aren’t annual pass holders or hotel guests. Meanwhile, for Passholders & Hotel Guest, it was priced at £4.80.

We joined the queue on Wednesday at around 2:30 pm and we were the only people there. The 4 of us were the only ones heading around the maze which I feel very lucky about. However, I hope during the summer it does become as popular as it deserves to be.

Scare Rating & Age Recommendation:

On the board outside the front, it is promoted more down the path of it being funny with a medium scare ranking. The age suggestion is 8+ too. All of that advertisement I feel covers the attraction correctly. As an adult-only group, the scare was great yet there was that streak of comedy to it as well. I can imagine the actors fluctuating their performance to the particular group going through.

The Overlay of Bozo:

Trailers is the most genius maze to bless the industry. Therefore, this takeover from Bozo simply enhanced this more heightened energy. The woman who introduced the maze in the first room hats off she was tremendous! The energy she gave us was astounding and could not have been better and the Easter eggs regarding the nods to Big Top in 2015. I’m a sucker for that kind of script.

Each room as you can imagine had at least one clown in and again the actors were on top form. Providing a little scare with some laughs too. It didn’t feel too intense & heavy but nor did it feel too weak & chilled out. There is so much to take in from the experience.

I found the rooms felt empty when you entered as the actors used the full advance of their space to give a decent little jump scare. Whereas when it’s busier it feels harder for them to take in those hidden holes to provide the scare. I found myself noticing more & more from across the sets as well with the actors using the space more. Although each room was identical to how it was left from last season I couldn’t help but notice tinier details!

Audio:

The audio was opposite to what I had expected. I almost expected a close enough copy of the Big Top audio which was played in the clown section for Trailers last year. But it was actually really refreshing to see this was not the case. The audio was fun & suited the maze & the path it had taken perfectly.

How Did It Compare?

There was a large difference except for the obvious overlay it had. This attraction is honestly the most genius move the scare industry has seen in my opinion. You could do so much with it and anything works too. It’s not quite comparable to this version of Fright Nights given the age restriction was lowered and it was designed to be more funny than scary. But both versions are incredible & the actors just can not be praised enough.

Is It Worth Doing?

Yes! You have to do it. If you are visiting for the Carnival event this year do not miss out on this experience even if you are afraid of scare mazes. Let yourself be immersed in this Superspark Cinema. If you are afraid of scary experiences this is not like the typical terrifying maze. It is a lot more fun than you would imagine.

Overall:

I’m so pleased to see this building used during the main season for other events than Fright Nights. Trailers are something which can face multiple changes for many events and still be as amazing as it is during the prime time for it. The actors as I mentioned above were outstanding. Not a single actor could have done their job any better they looked as amazing as they performed too. We love to see & listen to Easter eggs and this is no exception. I’m so grateful Thorpe Park opened up this maze this Summer & it’s one you just have to check out!
