After sharing my last tips and tricks blog post I thought I’d make a little series out of it to help others make the most out of their days out. All of these tips are purely based on our own personal experiences and what we have found to help make the most of our trips. If you have any further tips please be sure to share them in the comments or across our social media accounts. I hope this is somewhat helpful!
Of course, right now the opening of Blackpool Pleasure Beach and all of UK parks is of course unknown. But I thought it would be a fab time to share this ahead of the season to help those who plan on visiting to make the most out of their day!
Best Time To Visit:
With the current pandemic ticket numbers are often limited and with a lower capacity than usual days. However, if your someone who wants to experience every ride and don’t really want to queue for much, then I would recommend visiting during the week. Often weekdays and off-peak days are extremely quiet which therefore makes it easier to get what you wish done.
Entry Tickets & Entering The Park:
Currently, all tickets are E-Tickets which means they are now on your phone. Therefore my advice is to ensure you have charged your phone prior to visiting to make sure there are no complications when entering the park. When you arrive at the entrance plaza you will have to pass through security to then enter the park. Ensure you have all your belongings gathered together in your bag or to hand to pop them down on the security tables to walk through the scanners. It will make entering the park a whole lot easier and faster.
The Rides:
Heading towards the rides with the lowest capacity is often the best thing to do. Those rides include Nickelodeon Streak, Avalanche, Skyforce and any ride that operates on one train. Icon queues may look fairly long but strictly speaking, it goes down a lot faster than expected, especially on days where it is running all 3 of its trains. If there’s a specific ride you are eager to do but it has larger queues throughout the day then I’d recommend saving it to last therefore you miss out on the little number of park hours.
Speedy Pass:
I’m unsure as to whether this is still available when they reopen for the 2021 season but usually you can purchase the speedy pass which has 3 tier options available, all three vary in price. I have reviewed the VIP speedy pass before and the standard. I will pop the links to both reviews below.
Eating Lunch:
Regardless of where you eat whether it’s at the park or outside. I’d highly recommend either eating early around 11 am or later past 3 pm to avoid any lengthy queues.
Special Events:
If your visiting during any events it’s worth checking the ride boards outside each attraction to know when the said ride will close. Often during Late Night Riding events, Nickelodeon Land closes at 7 pm and the rides within any firework event the firing zone usually closes at 8 pm. Therefore it’s always worth having an idea when the last available ride on those attractions you hope to experience will close.
Accommodation:
If you are on a budget and want to stay in nearby Pleasure Beach overnight I’d highly recommend checking out Travelodge South Promenade or Premier Inn they are both local to the park and affordable. However, if your looking for somewhere a little more special and have a wider budget then I highly recommend either one of Pleasure Beach’s hotels. But be aware you can’t exit the Pleasure Beach for them you have to leave the main entrance and walk along the promenade to get to them. Although last year saw a trial of using the train to allow hotel guest to exit at the currently closed platform. If you choose to stay at one of the on-site hotels, you can enter through the hotel’s entrance in the morning up to noon.
So there are some of my tips for making the most out of your visit to Pleasure Beach. I hope this is helpful.
