Things From 2020 I Hope Remain In The 2021 Theme Park Season.

I feel this year has definitely been crazy, thank god it’s the final day. Let’s hope 2021 is better. However 2020 hasn’t all been bad as there’s been a few changes to our UK parks which I personally would love to see remain for the future. Let’s have a chat!

Blackpool Pleasure Beach E Tickets/No Wristbands:

This is something I and many others wanted to see happen for years, the wristbands scrapped. It just works so much better without them in my opinion. I think the E-tickets was easily the best thing to come from Pleasure Beach this year.

Oktoberfest:

Unfortunately we didn’t get a chance to visit Thorpe Park or Pleasure Beach. However, we did visit Alton Towers. It’s one of those events that I never really had much interest in before actually visiting. Alton Towers smashed it and genuinely we had the best time at this event. I’d love to see it return across the parks next season too and hopefully experience each parks version!

Distancing In Queues:

I’m not sure whether it’s just my anxious self who hates people that stand basically in your bags. Like the distancing when and where it’s worked during this season has been blissful. It’s so nice to have personal space within queue lines, I really hope it’s something the people more than anything take into consideration going forward.

Maximum Capacity:

I’m not entirely sure that everywhere went with maximum capacity on their rides. But I know for sure Thorpe Park did. Visiting Thorpe Park during an off peak day was glorious. The rides had next to no queue and those that usually have a queue during off peak barely had one. But also the queues move so fast as well.

Scare Zones:

Of course, this is a Halloween based edition. But it was fab to see the reintroduction into scare zones (looking at Thorpe Park). The fact Fright Nights 2020 was made up of basically scare zones with two mazes was really fun. I’d love to see scare zones continue to roll over to 2021 but more scare mazes brought back for Thorpe Park. But would love to see scare zones has a whole added to other UK Halloween events!

There’s some of the things from 2020 I’d love to see remain across our UK theme parks. Is there anything I’ve missed which you’d like to see stay? Let us know in the comments/ across our socials!
