It’s a new year & this is a popular topic to be discussed amongst us UK enthusiast & in all honesty I’ve barely gave it a second thought until now. So I thought I’d begin my 2021 blogs with a little chat about RMCs! I hope you all enjoy my thoughts on this topic!
Okay, let’s get started with the fact I have never experienced an RMC. I do have a few RMCs on my bucket list & hopefully I’ll get the opportunity this season to finally experience them. However, I’m going by the fact as someone who hasn’t experienced one point of view as to whether I think or would like to see one open in the UK!
Personally I’d love to see a RMC open in the UK. I think it would take the coaster offering to another level & be a fab attention grabber for any park that was to open one. However do I think it’s realistic? Maybe not for a few years however I think it’s inevitable it’ll happen at some point in the future. I doubt it would be within the next 10 years given the current pandemic situation.
If a RMC was to open I suspect the likes of Thorpe Park would be the park. However my mind also draws attention to the likes of Flamingo Land. I’m not entirely sure on their situation when it comes down to restrictions etc. But it’s one of those parks I feel could be very underrated & underestimated on opening future coasters.
