As someone who loves everything Disneyland Paris I thought I’d take some time to discuss what’s to come for the park in the upcoming years & in regards of rides & attractions. I’ve recently shared a similar blog post regarding the 2021 season for our UK theme parks which I’ll leave a link to HERE. So I thought why not sit down & get hyped for what we can expect to come from the beautiful Disneyland Paris. Here are the things we know so far about the next few years.
Hotel New York – Art of Marvel – 2021:
Sadly due to what 2020 has brought us this hotels opening had to be postponed to next year. Which in one sense I think is the best choice given it may get the opening it deserves. This hotel is themed around Marvel hence its name. The hotel is inspired by a New York art gallery, paying to tribute to the city which is homed to many Marvel characters. It will be the first hotel to be dedicated to celebrating all the marvel art with it been one of the largest public viewable collections in the world. All told there’s 50 collaborations of artists with 300+ artwork pieces to view. This is going to be a truly beautiful edition to the current line up of hotels.
Avengers Campus – 2021:
As far as we are aware this area is still set to open next year, perhaps a few months later than originally planned. But there’s been no announcement to confirm any sort of postponement. That’s beside the point this area is coming & here is what you can expect. As many of you will know the former Rock’n’Roller coaster closed last September to make way for the brand new theme which is of course Iron Man. Unfortunately for us we never got to experience the previous theme but nonetheless this looks fab. Another edition to the areas line up is the brand new Spider Man dark ride. The dark set is set to be interactive and somewhat similar to the UKs Ninjago at Legoland Windsor. Alongside these attractions Ant Man will be taking over the formerly themed Restaurants De Stars. As always with Disney there will be various meet & greet locations to meet your favourite Marvel characters. No doubt we’ll be undated with insane theming across the area too. Are you excited to see what this area will be like once completed?
Cars Route 66 – 2021?
This project was set to open in the Summer of 2020, of course COVID decided otherwise. However I can presume this will open some point next season providing all goes well & normality begins to creep in. However a lot of you guys may remember the former attraction Studio Tram Tours. Cars have taken over and gave this a new lease of life in the form of Cars Route 66. The original route has been cut to help create the pathway for another future areas lake. However this remains relatively the same in regards to the theming & story of going backstage of the making of this Pixar classic. Although guest will be able to experience some of the iconic scenes still the London scenes has been destroyed for the Avengers Campus & this attraction will have a brand new entrance located nearby Toy Story Playland.
Arendelle – 2023:
The area which I’m personally most hyped about is set to open in 2023. Of course, this area is set to feature its own Arendelle castle which will feature a lake ahead of it. There’s a brand new ride set to open alongside the area although it’s not yet confirmed as to what type of ride, this will be, or at least to my knowledge. As with any new land or area there’ll be food outlets, restaurants & meet & greets on offer. As well as all the offerings that’ll be available there will also be a 360 degrees seated show for guest to enjoy. We can’t wait to experience this land in the flesh.
Stars Wars Galaxy’s Edge – 2024/2025;
We’ve recently seen a Galaxy’s Edge themed area open at Disneyland California. Which for the record looks absolutely insane. Disneyland Paris is also set to open this themed area in 2024/2025. It will feature a brand new attractions which still is not confirmed as to what it will be. It may end up been similar to the ones already open but could be an exclusive attraction to Disneyland Paris. Nobody really knows at the moment. There’ll be another restaurant set to open which is rumoured to feature less than 300 seats. As I mentioned above with the other two lands/areas there’ll be shops & meet & greet opportunities available too. I’m personally really looking forward to learning more regarding this area & experiencing it all in person.
There’s an insight into what to expect from Disneyland Paris in the coming 5 years. What are you most excited to experience? Let us know in the comments or across our socials.
