Front or Back Row – UK Rollercoasters

I feel the majority of our UK rollercoasters are either a front or back row ride. Of course everyone’s opinions are very different on this topic. But here’s our take on which coasters & where we prefer to sit or whether it’s both.

Icon – Front & Back Row::

Icon is definitely both rows sort of ride. The front you see more and there’s a decent amount of intensity. But also that strange feeling of the rest of the train taking the elements. Whereas back row is filled with blissful airtime moments and floating. It’s also a little faster too.

Stealth – Back:

Oh yes, I love stealth at the front but the back is where it’s at for us. The pull over the top hat is a whole different vibe.

Nemesis – Front & Back:

I can never choose for Nemesis which I prefer. The front is breath taking mainly due to the views and how close you feel to the rock work. Front night during dark is another level. Back row however for the pure intensity. Nothing can explain how intense it is.

Nemesis Inferno- Front:

After last years Fright Nights front row ride it is the best seat in the house right? There’s so much to this rollercoaster and as a whole it’s underrated but front row it’s a whole new experience.

Shockwave – Front:

100% front row job on Shockwave. I’ll confident recommend anyone to experience it front row. I can also safely say it’ll be the best ride experience you’ll ever have on it and the smoothest too.

Accelerator – Back:

It has to be back on any Vekoma Boomerang right? (Except Wipeout because that’s not even funny how brutally intense it is). I’ll openly admit I find Accelerator very thrilling on the back row as it feels so high & as if it’ll never stop going backwards.

Wickerman – Front & Back:

Seriously this coaster is solid in every row there is. It’s rarely a bad ride experience IMO. But the front is absolutely gorgeous for taking in the surrounding theming. But back row is incredible. The airtime is next level!

I’d love to hear your thoughts on this and what rides you prefer in whatever seat. I’ll look forward to hearing your thoughts!
