Toddlers Under 90cm Guide to Twinlakes

Twinlakes is a family theme park but this guide is perhaps a little different to what you’d imagine as there are next to no rides available but various other activities to take on. This is your guide for those with babies or toddlers more so intended for those under 80cm as at 80cm and above you can ride some of the offerings. So, I guess it’s a guide for those under 80cm instead of 90cm for a change!

Soft Play:

There are plenty of soft play experiences on offer. It’s not just the one there are at least 2 or 3. All of which offer something different to the other. Liara enjoyed these. But as a parent, it was reassuring to see them all clean and feeling sanitised. It’s something if you know then you know about soft play experiences. It doesn’t go unseen when they feel less like a germ playground but feel clean.

Rides:

The only ride option for those below 80cm is the train. This is pretty much standard across any theme park there’s rarely a height restriction on this type of ride. So, it is ideal for those families to enjoy.

Entertainment:

We didn’t manage to catch the shows but I do know there are some shows on offer. There’s a little hub which has a stage inside.

Playgrounds:

There are many different themed playgrounds across the park too. Again with any playground height restrictions aren’t a thing but more own sense of judgment as to what’s appropriate for your little one to use within these spaces. There wasn’t much for Liara to appreciate across these areas she’s currently a non-walker. However, at Liara’s age that’s generally not the case for most toddlers so this could be a space that gets a bit of use.

Animals:

This is where we spent a decent portion of our day is amongst the animals. The first time up close with some farm animals for Liara and it was certainly a hit. There’s quite a variety and most of which have little food dispensers outside their enclosure when you pop in a 50p coin and you can feed them. I love this kind of possibility but sadly I left our cash at home!

Outdoor Splash Zone:

I’m here for this kind thing. An outdoor waterpark is rare to find in the UK but a big hit during those hot summer days. Pack your swimming costumes, swim nappies and a couple of towels and head to the park prepared.

Mirror Maze:

Part of the indoor experience is a short but fun little mirror maze. Quite the experience for our little ones. It’s well lit not like your regular ones where it’s quite dark inside which helps particularly when carrying a little one you don’t want to walk into mirrors!

Is It Worth The Visit?

Twinlakes is very reasonably priced and it is a lovely family day out. We had the best time during our visit You can see our trip report HERE. Although I’m not fully sure we’ll return until Liara’s above the 90cm mark unless it’s an event day she’s a girl who loves rides so it is tough with the height restrictions being a bit more rigorous here. However, we enjoyed exploring a new theme park, grabbing some creds and making wholesome family memories. So, it does all depend on the kind of day you are looking to have really.

Hope this helps those looking to know if it’s worth the visit or not!
