Hotel Review | Sequoia Lodge at Disneyland Paris

We knew we wanted to stay here for our honeymoon and that’s exactly what we did. Due to us visiting in the winter months, it definitely was more attractive for us to stay here with it being all so wintery and cosy. Here are our thoughts!

Price & Check-In:

So, originally we booked for November but had to move it due to unforeseen events which therefore meant we received a £20 refund. I believe we paid £1,500 altogether including half board plus. Checking in is super simple. You can do it a week prior to your first day of the holiday then check-in is 3 pm where you get your room number & Magic pass

Benefits:

The main advantage is the fact you gain access to magic hours with your park tickets. This is where you’ll have an hour prior to the park opening at 8:30-9:30 across both parks. Of course, the fact you’re located in Disney Village is a perk we found given you can literally just walk to the parks without the battle of catching the shuttle. If you get a decent package deal it can work out cheaper for your overall trip especially if it includes a meal plan.

You also get a free hot drink from the machines we had 4 credits a day. I’m not too sure whether that’s due to our meal plan or that is standard but I do know one a day is for everyone. Just pop your magic pass on the card area of the machine and choose your drink. Your credit only covers you for the drinks that is from Lavazza. But honestly, the latte is incredible.

Half Board Plus:

This was ideal for us as it meant we didn’t need to spend too much on food throughout the day. It gives you a tremendous opportunity to try new restaurants and different foods you wouldn’t usually try without feeling the crunch of the cost too. Your breakfast is also included in this too.

On-Site Facilities:

The hotel has a swimming pool, fitness centre, shop, bar & restaurant. You do have access to all of these as well. In the swimming pool you get towel rental for free and unlimited time in the pool just give them your room number. I’m unsure about the fitness centre not my cup of tea.

Hunters Grill:

We ate our breakfast here which was one of the adequate offerings out of the other two hotels we’ve stayed at. In the evening on the first night, we also had dinner which we weren’t massively fond of by any means. A full review is to come

The Room:

Our room was a standard room with a lakeside view. The room was gorgeous it was just delightful, warm & cosy. My kind of vibe really. The bed was incredibly comfy and large but the only issue is you don’t want to get up in the morning.

We had a balcony which oversaw Disney village which quite honestly we didn’t use as much as we would have liked to have due to the coldness. But it’s a lovely perk to have especially to look out over the Village in the morning.

The bathroom was an excellent size with a sink separated which was different. There was your standard shampoo, conditioner and body wash available and using the cute Mickey bottles. The bathtub was the right size not too small like other notes we’ve stayed at.

Overall:

The hotel is stunning with strong autumnal vibes which soothe my soul. My only fault in all honesty with the hotel is those dreaded lengthy corridors, especially after the long days at the park. Also, the shortage of plugs. It’s not ideal if you are someone who needs plenty of plugs. But other than those two things I truly did love our stay. I’d quite merrily stay here again.

  1. Hi!
Thank you so much for this helpful information!! I’m about to book but I’m looking for a standard room with as beautiful views as possible and yours sounds just perfect! Do you remember which room was? Floor, wing… Any information would be appreciated!

    1. Hey, I’m so pleased you’ve found this blog helpful! From what I can recall we were located on the 2nd floor right wing and right at the end of the corridor! Hope this is useful and you have a lovely time!
