We are both fussy eaters which are very important to bear in mind. However, on our last day of using our half board plus voucher, we decided to try somewhere different & push the boat out by exploring some new foods. Therefore, we opted for the beautifully themed Agrabah Cafe which if you don’t know is themed around Aladdin. So, here are our thoughts from our experience.
Pricing & Reservations:
We were half board plus as part of our package with our on-site accommodation. But for two adults it came to €90. This is an all-you-can-eat buffet so keep that in mind also. So, it’s advised you book two months prior to your visit however we winged it on the day and thankfully got a space. But please if you can don’t follow our footsteps and try to secure your space prior it will save a lot of stress.
Variety of Food:
Okay, so heading inside we had expected a very wide assortment of Middle Eastern foods. However, we ended up quite disappointed by the absence of range. As fussy eaters by all means it wasn’t the wisest choice we have made. But the choice of food definitely could have been more than it was. We ended up really enjoying some vegan meatballs, chicken drumsticks, spicy sausage & naan bread. But if you aren’t a fussy eater then you’ll be fine to eat here just don’t expect a big range as the likes of Plaza Gardens because that’s not the case at all.
Theming:
I am obsessed with how beautifully themed this restaurant is. It feels as if you’re sitting within the set of Aladdin which is a truly magical experience. The cast members’ uniform is stunning also. Be aware the bowls near the fruit aren’t real (yes I did try and take one, very embarrassing for me).
Overall:
If you’re someone who knows you won’t be picky at the food options available then this is perfect. With regards to pricing, I feel it’s super overpriced for the selection of food get when you give comparisons to the hotel buffets and Plaza Gardens. However, for an overall experience this is stunning I was truly mesmerised by the detailed theming that I thoroughly enjoyed our experience. It certainly isn’t somewhere I’d eat at again just purely for the significance of money to what we as fussy eaters would eat. But you never know until you try is my motto.
