Last month we headed to London to watch the The Last Little Mix Show (for now, mixers I know you understand). Therefore, finding last minute accommodation was a little bit of a misison. I booked a week in advance and managed to grab Premier Inn Excel Docklands. So, here’s my full review in case you are looking for a venue within that surrounding area.
Pricing & Parking:
As I mentioned above we booked 7 days ahead of the trip due to the last-minute ticket releases. It therefore costs us £158 for one night in a standard double room. Parking is available on-site & is £12 from 9:30 am – 5:30 pm after that time it is free. There was a reasonable amount of spaces too.
Please take note in regards to pricing The FA Cup was at Wembley & Little Mix was performing at The o2 Arena. Therefore the prices may have been heightened due to both events taking place.
Access via Public Transport:
We travelled from Baker Street to this hotel meaning we had to catch the Jubilee line to Canning Town which there were 11 stops ahead of ours. From Canning Town, we then used the DLR line to Prince Regent. From there it was approximately a 10 minute maximum walk to the hotel. It was extremely simple to do. If you are stuck download the TFL Go app as it really is a life saver!
The Room:
It was a standard Premier Inn room with the likes of a bath tub, a double bed , tv etc. The only thing I would say about this room is the lack of air-con. Yes, it was there but it did not cool the room down at all as we visited on such a warm day too.

Overall:
It was a very handy find for us with everything being so last minute. By all means, a premier inn often tends to be the same as one another. We love to stay in trusted hotels where we know the quality you get. But by all means there could be cheaper options available.

I hope this is somewhat useful for anyone looking to stop within the area.
