Welcome to our new little series which Ant came up with through inspiration from the Marvel series, what if? This series is going to be me rambling on about circumstances & how if they never happened what could have potentially come off without them? I hope you enjoy!
So, what if Nemesis was never built? Would we of ever seen the line-up appear the way it does now? I’m not sure.
I feel as if Nemesis truly moulded the future for Alton Towers. It gave light on that more intense and fierce style of the ride which then broke that ground for only substantial & questionably better rides to come in the future. I don’t believe Alton Towers would have made the leap of faith in the widespread rollercoasters if it weren’t for the prior success from Nemesis. It always feels as if that was the authentic beginning of Alton Towers as we know it.
Of course, the Corkscrew was the OG kickstarter for the future it preserves today. Without the Corkscrew and its appearance, I doubt we would have ended up with Nemesis to then end up with the fantastic line-up we have today.
Nemesis assisted shape a lot of parks’ futures in my opinion. Without her, I truly think we could have seen a more family routed park with likenesses to Drayton Manor.
