My Top 5 Rollercoasters at PortAventura World

I feel as if I don’t speak enough about our PortAventura trip back in 2018. So today I’m here to share with you guys my top 5 rollercoasters from that trip. I can probably guess the top 5 list of the bulk of people who have visited as they all seem to ADORE Shambhala. It’s not really for me as you’ll find out below. But if your that person skimming this ready to go to war over it, please don’t, I respect your opinion & I’d hope you respect mine too.

5 – Shambhala:

I’ll be honest, I’m not even entirely sure I rate it this high. I think I might like El De Ablo more than this. However, precisely speaking I am open-minded. I feel as if we might have fallen exceptionally unfortunate when it comes down to rows and seating & almost off on the wrong foot let’s say. I never shy away from the fact I am a thick gal in the thigh department. Therefore I genuinely believe it limited a lot of what this coaster is reasonable at; airtime, hang time and being a hypercoaster rather than the monorail. Every ride we had we got plonked on the back row which again never allowed me to try it elsewhere. So this could well be a fab coaster but going by experience it was god awful.

4 – Furious Baco:

This coaster is strange to some extent. You sit on the inner seat front row and it is a delight. It’s smooth and probably one of the best launches we’ve done except Red Force. However, If you sit in the outer seat it’s very diverse to the inner. It’s a lot more bouncy I definitely would not say rough is the right word for it. Just more as if you are bouncing about which is an odd feeling. However, that aside the general overall experience is brilliant. I adored the pre-show aspect as it just flowed so well and didn’t even hold up the queue which is always delightful. The launch was beautifully snappy and thrilling within itself. That stray inversion is also a real fun element too. It all just appeared to work so well together!

3 – Dragon Khan:

Oh, Dragon Khan is not spoken about anywhere enough. It is one of those coasters we went expecting to be a tragic experience but come away very stunned. It just delivers so much which gets ignored. The number of inversions once were record-beating of course they aren’t anymore but it is probably my favourite proportion of them. I also really like the train style too. It’s one of the few “typical” rollercoasters we have done & it was generously better than what we Had expected!

2 – Stampida:

As someone who cherishes wooden rollercoasters, I was actually in heaven with this beauty. I think Stampida is fab. Both sides other two different experiences (definitely two separate creds). It was a lot smoother than I had predicted. I kind of rode it with the expectations of compromising my teeth, spine and came off very shocked by how relaxed it was. Genuinely one of those rides I wish I could nip down the road to experience but unfortunately it’s many miles away haha.

1 – Red Force:

It is a no brainier. This is by far the best rollercoaster I’ve ever ridden at PortAventura if not ever. The speed, height and intensity are lush. There’s not a minute of it which I think ah that could be better. Another thing that goes in the favour of this rollercoaster is the purely marvellous restraints & carriages. Both of which are perfect. It’s just immense I could sit and waffle about my pure lust for this coaster but you guys will end up falling asleep aha.
