The other month I shared a reel/Tik Tok dedicated to Rita and I was stunned & saddened by the sheer amount of hate this coaster gets. When in my opinion it’s not half bad. Therefore, I thought I would sit down and have a little chat about all things that are tremendous about Rita in my opinion. By all means, I do comprehend it’s not everyone’s cup of tea and that’s totally fair but here is why I think Rita is great.
Snappy Launch:
I love launch coasters as a whole as much as this isn’t the quickest of the launches we have done, it is still up there as one of the snappiest. It’s certainly hot off the mark. I love that initial launch and just how much quicker it feels to what it is. It’s a feisty coaster.
Intense:
I genuinely think Rita is one of the most intense coasters we have in the UK. At the end of that launch, as you bank around to the right, it’s the G’s that make your body feel like it’s been pulled down that gets me. Also, the bigger bank turn brings my body near to blacking out without fail every time.
Airtime:
If you don’t get pinned into your seat with the restraint tightening around, the airtime is usually immense. I call it violent airtime when your bum slaps off the seat, I love it!
Thrilling:
It is exhilarating. You take someone who maybe hasn’t done many rollercoasters there’ll come off this pale. It’s amusing even for me after riding almost 150 rollercoasters & I’ll always cherish this ride for that reason.
All-Round Fun:
Rita is a lot of fun to experience. I’m not implying it’s the best rollercoaster in the world because, by all means, it doesn’t cut my top 10. Yet it’s not bleak nor is it an uncomfortable ride experience. It is simply fun and that’s why I adore it so much. If the restraints are sat comfortably even better.

How do you feel about Rita? I’d love to hear your thoughts on whether or not you rate her or perhaps would rather skip it on a day trip to Alton Towers.
Thank you for reading…
