Fellow spook/scare maze lovers I’m currently feel bit shit about the fact so many events have been cancelled. October is legit the month I live for each year. It fills me a whole new level of happiness & joy (plus fear). I thought tonight I’d sit and look at the mazes I’m personally going to miss this Halloween season. So join me as I reflect on some of my faves or don’t if it’ll make you too sad!
Project 42 – Alton Towers Scarefest:
By all means was not the strongest maze of 2019 Scarefest. However I personally loved it a lot. I found the alien kind of make up & theming really scary. I’m quite afraid of that type of thing anyway. We had some insane scares during our couple of run throughs last season.
I admit I found it overhyped a lot. However, I was really excited to get back in there this season. Of course, that won’t be happening but I am genuinely very excited for its return hopefully nor year.
One of the best mazes of 2019 by far. It was terrifying in so many ways & on so many levels. I was left traumatised after this maze in all honesty. The guy in the morph suit coming out of the mattress has always stuck with me. I adored this maze on so many levels.
The fact that Tulleys cancelled broke my heart. The fact I won’t be able to be terrified in Wastelands broke my heart. This maze was immense. So intense and the strobe section was the best we’ve ever encountered. We had the best scares possible in this maze and the fact we have to go a whole year without it makes me VERY sad.
Wow, this maze was beautiful, eerie & beautiful. Tell you all something now if this returns next season y’all need to experience it. It was one of the clever mazes of last season. The way the theming distracted you from the upcoming scare made the maze for us. We loved this so much & would love to explain the love we have yet we just can’t.
I know not many rated this maze but last year was our first experience inside. Genuinely I loved it and found it really scary. I think the way the theming was done complimented it all so perfectly. I genuinely thought this maze was lush.
The ball pit is a memory which will always stick with me. This maze gave me some of the most hilarious yet scary memories of last season. I wish the video recorder inside captured the moment Ants mum fell one way after been scared then fell over the opposite way after been scared again. Genuinely clowns scare the day lights out of me and this was so well done you’d never imagine it was all temporary. The clowns props and the horn at the end. It was fab.
Sadly the 2020 Halloween season is small & low on event numbers for us. But we’ll make the most of it nonetheless and do some spooky stuff at home. Here’s a little look at the mazes we will be missing this season. We’d love to hear yours too.
