This blog is probably very relatable to many other enthusiasts other perhaps it’s just us been crazy. But we’re gonna list things which we hate whilst been at a theme park or relating to theme parks. We hope you enjoy and we’d love to know yours across our socials.
1) “Theme Parks Are Dangerous & Why Do You Bother Going”.
This has to be one of the most annoying things that’s been said to us over the years. Our argument in return is always the most dangerous parts of theme park visits is the travelling. It’s as if nobody outside the community understand the safety producers and safety in general. Only because there’s been a handful of incidents over the years it’s automatically not safe.
2) Overhearing made up crap.
Anybody who follows me on social media will had saw my tweets the other day whilst at Alton Towers. Whilst on the sky ride we were sharing with a group of people who said “Alton Towers had a wooden coaster before but they set in on flames then said it’s a world first”. It does get worse when they begin to explain The Wickerman has H3O as mist. There’s no spelling mistakes above they said H3O? Sometimes when your in queues you’ll hear some right old crap made up.
3) Disrespecting Staff:
Honestly one thing which bugs us is when people are damn right rude to staff. We’ve hardly ever encountered any staff members who are rude, so why be rude to them? Once on Oblivion at Alton Towers a group of who were told to wait for the next carriage but didn’t listen. So they decided to go through the gates that opened then go mental into the staff. Yet they were told the correct information in the first place but decided to take it on themselves to go through the empty gate. The worst is when the staff tell somebody to keep their shoes on, phone away or whatever. People get real nasty of it and it’s pretty embarrassing.
4) Screamers:
Right this one probably sounds ridiculous I mean of course people scream during the ride. But if your on the lift hill or break run like why you screaming? Or is that just us it just doesn’t make sense.
5) Complainers
This is a massive pet hate those people who go out of their way to find the smallest thing to complain about to then get free shit. Like seriously what’s the actual point if there’s a legit reason go for it. However last year at Finns at Thorpe Park a fully grown women got upset over been given her beer in a plastic cup. Then ordered a whole table of food and sat there for about 20 minutes then complained the food was cold. Bare in mind she didn’t touch the food until the point it got cold?
6) Not Following Simple Rules / Delaying Rides:
We all know some enthusiasts are just as guilty as anybody else for not following simple rules as in on ride POVs. The amount of times we’ve experience ride delays because somebody hasn’t put their phone away or dropped it. It’s kind of common sense it’s not gonna end well in majority of cases. One of the most horrendous situations was a couple years back on Rita. We were just about to launch when somebody undone their safety belt meaning the entire ride had to be restarted. The staff had to physically come round to undo restraints to get us off to test it. Honestly even if I was scared you just wouldn’t do it surely? The amount of lift hills we’ve stopped on like Nemesis & Big One to list a few. Nemesis was down to somebody with their phone out & Big One for again undoing of the seat belt.
Let us know your pet hates down below or across our socials. We hope you’ve enjoyed this blog.
