Alton Towers is often referred to as the greatest theme park in the UK. I’m one of those who often does the referring to it as that too. So here’s my 5 reasons why Alton Towers is the best.
Rollercoasters:
Alton Towers is home to some absolutely outstanding rollercoasters. The likes of Nemesis & Oblivion are just iconic. They are so iconic that I’m confident almost everyone has heard of them. Of course The Smiler STILL holding the record for the number of inversions! Wickerman the brand new bad boy to join the line up, looks family but rides fiercely. They have so many incredible rollercoasters even if you aren’t a fan you can’t deny we are lucky to have the half of them in the UK. Thirteen is immense and unique!
Scarefest/Fireworks:
Events aren’t often something happen at Alton Towers yet when they do they are often extradionary. The fireworks every year blow me away and I always feel so taken by back by the how little of Sky you can see at the finale. Scarefest if your someone who experiences the mazes then you’ll love it. But the peak for Scarefest for me was during 2016-2017 with the scare zones! But my love returned last year after doing the mazes for the first time!
A Resort:
It’s so much more than a theme park. We often find ourselves visiting during closed season for the water park & golf. The park has a lot to explore like the Towers & Gardens. Both of which connect to the history point of view. They are both cared for in a beautifully manner to keep them appealing to guest. The water park is fab! It’s affordable too. Same goes for the golf.
Atmosphere:
It’s got one of the best atmospheres there is. Stepping through those gates is like entering a new world to me, any issues get left at the car and it’s like home to me. Just like it is to so many others. Walking down Tower Street first thing in the morning is blissful.
History:
There’s so much history to know & learn it’ll keep you occupied for days. Yet the way they compliment the history by ensuring the gardens & towers are cared for is beautiful. There’s a lot of pride taken to ensure the history is always there.
