Last Tuesday I shared a blog post about ride types I adore. This weeks the opposite as you can see from the title. I thought I’d have a chat about a few ride types some of which will be a lot more exact rather than a grouped categories. As always these are just my opinions & I’d love to hear yours!
Half Pipe Coaster:
I’ve only experienced one at the minute which is of course RC Racer at Disneyland Paris. Honestly it’s not a ride type I’m that fond of at all. I just found it almost pointless. It didn’t do much for me and not a type which I’d go out my way to experience again.
Air Race:
I believe that’s the ride model name, don’t take my word for that. But I really do dislike these flat rides with every inch of my body. They are just VILE. The amount of inversions you do in such a short space of time is something which I personally can’t handle.
Monorails:
I’ve actually written a full blog post about the hate I have for monorails. I’ll pop a link HERE. But keeping it short & sweet I simply dislike the thin rail this huge train is on. It makes me feel overly anxious and especially when they turn corners. But the blog post which is linked here is a lot more in depth over this hate/fear.
VR Based:
I’ve only experienced 2 VR based attractions but they were enough to know it’s not for me. Of course, one of them is Galactica at Alton Towers. I just don’t think VR worked on Air for me I found it far too sickly. Whereas DBGT purposely built with VR works a little better but still it’s not an attraction for me
Wild Mouse:
I honestly can’t do wild mouse rollercoaster models. They make me very nervous, of course, I know they are 100% safe. But the way they take the bends make me feel anxious. Not to forget the brutal brakes as well. If I was to visit a park with a wild mouse I’d have to experience it just our curiosity. Whereas when we visit Chessington again I don’t tend to do Rattlesnake no more.
What ride types aren’t you keen on? Let us know!
