Day VS Night Rides- UK Rollercoasters.

Have you experienced a rollercoaster or any ride in fact and thought that’s definitely a night ride rather than day? There’s a fair few across the UK which I feel this way about. So here’s some rides I prefer during the day and others which I prefer at night. I’d love to hear your thoughts on this so be sure to share them with us across our social media’s.

The Swarm – Thorpe Park:

I think this rollercoaster is fab day & night. But I generally prefer it during dark more. It’s a night ride in my opinion. The train during dark is truly spectacular. It looks like a monster during the day but at night it generally does turn into a monster with its lights. Not to ignore the surrounding effects like the fire explosion during the dark. It lights up the entire sky and train. It’s mind-blowing. The Swarm is beautiful during dark and could well be my number one coaster in the UK.

Icon – Blackpool Pleasure Beach:

Yes, Icon looks beautiful at night time with the lights on the train and in the area. But personally I was quite disappointed by our night ride the other year. It didn’t feel all that much different. I personally prefer this ride during the day as one of my favourite factors of this ride is seen the surrounding rides that you snake around.

Vampire – Chessington World of Adventures:

Honestly I feel Vampire is incredible during the day & night. It’s a lovely rollercoaster which always feels so loved by many. During dark it’s beautiful to see the lighting and swing over the plaza for Gruffalo and see how well it’s all lit up. But it’s a coaster I can’t choose between day or night.

Oblivion – Alton Towers:

Oblivion is fairly intense during the day. The entire holding over the edge to plunge into a dark hole, it’s stomach wrenching. But during dark it’s a whole lot more intense. During our first ride at night I was convinced I had died. You go into the dark to come out in the dark and it’s something I’ve never been able to forget. Oblivion for more intensity is definitely a night ride.

Wickerman – Alton Towers:

During pretty much all of it’s advertising it was seen at night. But it took us all 10 months to finally experience it the same way it got advertised. Honestly it’s 100% a night ride. Those flames during dark light up the entire sky and the whole experience feels more immense. It’s mint during the day but even better at night.
