Something I often say to people when talking about this rollercoaster is the fact I love it but also hate it. I feel there are so many of you guys potentially reading this feeling the exact same way. Therefore I’m going to explain exactly my love & hate for this coaster. Let me know if you also feel the same way?
Hate:
I’ll start with the negatives. One of which is the traumatic journey from the entrance to the station. The steps have these gaps in between them and it makes me anxious. I’m someone who has to look at where they are walking to feel comfortable. So when I’m looking down and seeing these horrific gaps my legs begin to get a little wobbly. The height is something else I’m not a fan of. Of course, it’s not the tallest ride in the UK or at Blackpool. But when there are steps which aren’t indoors it’s hard to not notice it.
The station isn’t enclosed. When you wait in that station on a windy day it’s genuinely terrifying. There’s nothing okay about it. The way it wobbles when the train comes or leaves makes me want to cry. There’s nothing worst than waiting in this station. If I see anyone with their phone over the side of the station it makes my anxiety so much worst. I can’t begin to explain how tightly I hold onto the bannisters when I’m waiting. My legs go to pure jelly whenever I have to wait the tiniest amount of time in that station.
Love:
The coaster experience is simple and short but really does pack a punch. It’s so intense and the sensation which feels your gut is something else. It has to be one of the most intense rollercoasters we have in the UK. That first drop down into the loop, honestly I leave my gut at the station. It feels incredibly steep and as if you’re going a long way down. It always takes me by surprise and often feels as if it sneaks up on you. It’s one of the only UK rollercoasters left that still scares me & that’s a huge factor to why I love it.
