The Hype Train….

Okay, I understand hype is simply other people’s opinions which I do respect. But I’ve found myself previously getting sucked into that wave and then experiencing something which was so hyped to then feel disappointed. My only way forward when visiting new parks & doing new coasters is simply been open minded. Let’s have a chat guys, please don’t take any of this personally or me not accepting your opinions because I do.

My prime example is Shambhala there was & is such a buzz surrounding this rollercoaster that I highly anticipated it to become my number one. I popped it so high up in my mind before even riding it. So once I hit the brake run I kind of sat there and pondered on what just happened. I was so disappointed and sadly that was the first ride of the trip.

I found it extremely boring. It felt almost like a monorail with some added ups & downs. It just wasn’t my thing. But the pure sadness I felt about disliking this rollercoaster did ruin the trip until I got onto Red Force. I only have myself to blame for getting so involved in the hype and hanging on everyone else’s words to then pop it high up in my mind for it to be the complete opposite.

What I’m saying is when visiting new places go open minded else you may well find yourself feeling very disappointed. Honestly try not to hang onto those who you admire & follow words as it can either resort in disappointment but definitely listen when you hear recommendations on places  to visit. Hype is purely someone’s opinion which we all should respect but also been open minded as your about experience what that hype is about is pretty important.

Who else has been guilty of becoming obsessed with something that’s been hyped up and ended up feeling disappointed?

Thank you for reading.
