HOTEL REVIEW: Boulevard Hotel – Blackpool Pleasure Beach

Brand new for 2019 Blackpool Pleasure Beach have opened another hotel next door to their; Big Blue Hotel. We were lucky enough to stay onsite during the Influencer Day event. At that time we weren’t able to post or share any photos from inside our room. However now it’s fully opened we’re allowed to share. We hope you all enjoy.

Car Parking:

Something we’ve always found a struggle when staying at nearby hotels is parking. However for a small fee of £5 per night you can park in the hotel car park. I believe this is similar to the Big Blue Hotel. The car park does offer some unique and beautiful photo opportunities of the pleasure beach too.

Access To Pleasure Beach:

If your a season pass holder which we are you can collect your wristbands at reception then enter via their own entrance. There’s still security checks in place like the main entrance. However it’s much quieter I assume you can collect any pre booked wristbands too. But please do enquire before assuming.

Distance from Main Entrance / Other Attractions:

It’s roughly a 10 minute walk from the hotel entrance to the main park entrance. If your looking to visit the other end of Blackpool for the Merlin attractions, we’d recommending hopping onto the tram. There’s a few nearby stops available to catch it. You could also walk as well we reckon it’d take maybe 30-40 minutes depending on your walking pace.

Double Deluxe Room:

The room was without a doubt one of the most beautiful places we’ve stayed. We had a double deluxe but it looked more like a family room. The bed was extremely comfortable and firm perhaps that’s not everyone’s preference. As for pillows your provided with two alongside some cushions. We had a lovely night sleep and the curtains were blacked out which is even more better for the lighter mornings.

The bathroom consisted of free toiletries which is always handy especially if your somebody who forgets your own. It also has a bath with a over head shower so whether your bath or shower person, it suits both. The mirror is huge and perfect for anyone like myself who likes to see their full outfit. However the whole room consist of two or three different sized mirrors too. Of course towels are included within the room too.

Similar to other hotels there’s tea and coffee facilities available however there’s biscuits, hot chocolate and glass bottled water. There’s also a fridge which is super handy if your packing your own food. Ladies there’s also a full size hairdryer available, which is one of my favourite things. I never remember my own hairdryer so it’s super fab to have one in the room. There’s also a iron and iron board in case you need them.

The TV size is definitely the biggest we’ve ever seen within a hotel room. From your TV you can see the weather forecast, room service and the menus for the downstairs restaurant. Room service does occur a £10 tray fee we’re unsure as to whether you get that back or not.

I know there’s several rooms with coaster / park views. However we had the sea view room which was equally as beautiful.

Within our room there was bunk beds with TVs at the bottom of each. Which is really fab however there was only us in the room so we can’t share any thoughts on them beds.

Breakfast:

Breakfast runs from 7:30-10:30am. There’s a whole selection of foods available from pancakes to traditional English breakfast items. I’ve discovered this breakfast is definitely my favourite in comparison to other hotels I’ve stayed at. Juices are also available along with water. Somebody comes round to ask if you’d like tea and coffee then you receive a pot which is free and you can have as many as you wish.

Overall:

I personally adore this hotel and what it offers. It’s my favourite hotel within Blackpool by far. However it isn’t somewhere we’d always be able to afford to stay. But season pass holders you do receive discount. For us personally we found it very handy given the parking, breakfast and entrance to the park. We’d 100% recommend checking it out and we’d love to know your thoughts.
