As the theme park season is fast approaching I thought it be a fab time to talk about upcoming things to remember. We hope you enjoy this blog post.

Of course, we are all bound to at some point feel frustrated about those unexpected ride closures & breakdowns. But these things happen. These rides would have faced TLC during closed season but that doesn’t automatically prevent breakdowns. Majority of the reasons behind a breakdown is often down to guest behaviour.

Majority of the staff your bound to encounter will be new. Have patience and be understanding they are still getting to grips with their brand new role. The last thing they need is impatience or moaning guest making it harder for them.

This does link back up to the two above. To help assist in avoiding break downs follow the very easy & simple rules. For example phones away and no loose articles on rides. Follow those simple rules then it will minimise potential breakdowns. It would also help make members of staff life a little easier too.

It’s really not all that hard to do. Just remember the staff members have long shifts and are the main reason your ability to enjoy this day out. So been polite & kind is always a lovely thing to do. It shows appreciation for allowing you to enjoy the rides your riding because without them you wouldn’t be able to. Don’t forget to thank them for ensuring your safety, thank them for holding a door open & return the kindness they show you.

It links back to the above one really. Just remember there is other people around you. There’s nothing worst then been stood in a queue with someone who’s completely unaware of others personal space. So try and be aware of those around you. The same goes for smoking stick to the designated areas these theme parks provide you. As not everyone wishes to inhale smoke. Have fun but be aware of others.

Finally, just because you own a Merlin annual pass or any form of season pass it doesn’t automatically give you any entitlement to queue jump or complain. Unfortunately 2019 we encountered a lot of this kind of behaviour in fast tracks queues, disabled queues where because someone has a Merlin annual pass around their necks they were entitled to go before those who don’t. It doesn’t work that well. You have to wait your turn like everyone else. Therefore let’s remember there is no entitlements to specific passes.
We hope you all have a fab upcoming theme park season & have a lot of fun. But remember to be thoughtful to others is the moral of this blog post.
