What an incredible milestone? Dreamland is turning a 100 years old this season which is insane. It was once our bucket list park for a few years and last October we finally fulfilled our goal of visiting. So let’s talk all about Dreamland & why we adore the amusement park so much.

Yes you heard right this was one of our bucket list parks with a bucket list coaster located inside. Of course I am talking all about Scenic Railway. We adore wooden coasters so one aim we set ourselves is to get as many as possible done in the UK. I do believe we have one left to go. But that aside the park is a place we’ve always heard of but never had chance to visit. Honestly it was so much more than we had expected.
First of Scenic Railway is a hidden gem and one of the better older woodies in the UK. Yes we do know it’s been restored a couple of times due to fires but that’s besides the point. Operations were top quality too. It’s such a long coaster which just doesn’t get boring at all. In fact we loved it so much we honestly wanted to re-ride it all night. We are VERY excited to riding this coaster again soon.
The park itself is super pretty and has the most adorable vintage atmosphere. We only got chance to see it at night and we were obsessed. There’s that classic romantic feel about the place. I remember going up the lift hill of Scenic Railway looking around thinking this place is absolutely gorgeous. I physically feel so lucky to have visited in all honesty.
Now let’s get to the Halloween event side of things. I will always say it because it’s true it is the best Halloween event I’ve ever done. The mazes were consistently strong we never had any run through where we came out disappointed at all. The theming is so cleverly done across them all and the scares come from places you’d least expect. We all agreed that this was the best Halloween event of 2019. Purely because the mazes constantly were FAB!
We love Dreamland Margate & of course their incredible hard working team. They are some of the nicest people we’ve ever spoken to and do an amazing job at running the place.
We can’t wait to visit again sometime soon! If you haven’t already we’d highly recommend heading to Dreamland this season, you won’t be disappointed.
