This morning we received the PR release for this brand new ride & area! Let’s have a chat about all we know at the minute.
This is of course the headline attraction set to open this Spring alongside the entire area. So what we know about this dark ride? This ride will whizz, twist & spin guest in 360 degree emotion throughout various different scenes. Throughout these scenes there’ll be various different effects that you’ll experience such as smells, hearing, feel & seeing as a way to tell the Gangsta Granny story. There will be 3D effects alongside projection mapping & animation inspired by the artwork of Tony Ross.
We’ve all said it for so long & that’s we all want something to happen to Cloud Cuckoo Land and it’s finally here! The entire area will be transformed into The World of David Walliams. Older attractions like the 4D cinema will be reopening and will be displaying the main characters as they attempt the greatest heist in history. Which we think is so exciting to see happen. Alongside the 4D experience, you can pick up a crazy bargain in Raj’s Shop & Race on a regal thoroughbred on the Royal Carousel. Which of course means Gallopers is receiving a complete overhaul too. It also seems that Frog Hopper will also remain but re-themed as Raj’s Bouncy Bottom Burp. But something which has been teased is there is more surprises & twist along the way. Does this mean we might been seen Twirling Toadstool return?
Available to book now is four fully themed rooms in the Alton Towers hotel from £281.50 based on a family of four sharing Bed & Breakfast. Those fans of the David Walliams books can experience the ultimate sleepover. If booked before the 31st January can save 20%.
To celebrate the opening of this area & ride Alton Towers will be offering children to bring along their grandparents for FREE. This offer entitles you to ONE FREE adult ticket per full-price child’s ticket when purchased online or in-person (if staying at the Alton Towers hotel) between 1st January to 20th March. Tickets will be valid during the entire season (21st March – 1st November) excluding any secondary events (such as concerts, Scarefest, Fireworks & Chrismas).
Honestly I think this is fab news & something we are extremely excited to experience. The fact that Cloud Cuckoo Land is seen it’s much-needed overhaul is something which I think is fab. We are so happy to hear that this area is finally getting it’s much needed love. Of course, a brand new dark ride is also something we think will fit into the ride line up beautifully. From what we now know of the dark ride it sounds as if the overall experience is going to be tremendous and a whole package. We can’t wait to experience this ride & area.
