A massive thank you to Tulleys for gifting us our tickets for this event. We will be sharing a full review from each maze which may contain spoilers. This was our first time visiting Tulleys and we had no idea what to expect. We hope you enjoy this blog and make sure to check this event out!
TWISTED CLOWNS:
The evening started out on a weaker note than expected with our first maze been Twisted Clowns. This maze incorporates 3D glasses & clowns. Therefore I anticipated it to scare me to an intense level of fear but it just didn’t. Unfortunately for us, we ended up in a bad group with a bunch of kids before us. So every time they had a scare they would halt and we would see it happen beforehand leaving the scares to a minimum. Ant managed to get a few jumps throughout as he was right at the back and thankfully didn’t have the same experience as I & Maretta did. As for theming it was fab they really do take into account for every angle. But for this maze sadly I didn’t find it remotely scary and had a very weak run through.

After the awfully long queue which was meant to be 15 minutes but ended up into an hours wait. We jumped on the back of a tractor with no idea what to expect. Theming is something Tulleys know how to do best. But this attraction ended up strangely hilarious with a good couple of jump scares alongside lots of eerie/creepy moments. The actors were insane during this attraction. There’s fire explosions, chainsaws, hilarious nuns it’s got it all really. But as for a scare factory again just wasn’t there, unfortunately.

We kind of just stumbled into this maze with zero acknowledgement of the name or what it was. There was this extraordinary show within the plaza area with roaming actors and an overall experience. We noticed the queue line and just strolled into it and it turns out it was easily one of the best mazes we’ve experienced. The sheer amount of actors were crazy they were everywhere all over you it was an experience to say the least. The finale strobe maze felt as if it would never end it just kept going and going. They did, however, separate us 3 from the others in the dispatch group but it was out of this world. We had some crazy jump scares throughout.

This maze was a little weird to begin with as there was many empty spaces with no actors. Then all sudden the actors came thick & fast and undated us with scares. During this maze me & Maretta ended up alone and had some incredible interactions with the actors. It felt like it went on for a lifetime and these actors were at the top of their game without a doubt. The finale was so fab just two of us in a strobe maze with a man & chainsaw it was fab. We screamed, laughed and ran so fast during this maze. The flooring was so dodgy and the little touches of theming like snakes on the floor just added to it perfectly.

We checked prior to entering online the fear factor scoring for this and it was the lowest. So heading into this maze we didn’t expect much from it at all. But we were wrong to be truthful. The theming was insane during this maze every corner and room was so well put together it was fab. We had a fair few jump scares throughout nothing too over the top but it was definitely more than Twisted Clowns for our run-through anyway. The whole dolls and stuff is something we personally find creepy alone. Again actors were fab throughout and gave us a fair few decent scares.

Okay this maze is another odd one really. It starts of really strong in laser lighting with smoke creating a proper disoriented feeling whilst squeezing through some ballon type things. There was actors creating jump scares all over then out of that bit it’s back to an ordinary kind of Scare maze. The actors were fab and there was a fair few jump scares. However there wasn’t really any finale and it kind of just ended all sudden. We departed and was like is that it? Which is a shame as this maze was fab all the way round except that ending.
Rating: 4/5

This was quite questionable as we saw a fair few roaming actors around but none of which really interacted with us. They all looked fab in their costumes and makeup but they hardly bothered with anyone which definitely impacted the atmosphere.

OVERALL:
The evening started out awfully with long queues to get in, the delay getting in and overall organisation from the outside. But after experiencing Haunted Hayride it really picked up and began to get good. The mazes were all fun in their own different ways. Personally, for us, the weakest was Twisted Clowns as it just didn’t quite give us the thrill which we were hoping for. The highlight maze for us was definitely Wastelands Penitentiary that was absolutely insane. I’d recommend checking this event out for sure. Unfortunately, we never got the chance to experience The Cellar or Chop Shop as the queues were too long for us. But overall really fun event to attend and we will more than likely be back next year.
Thank you for reading…
