Theme Parks - Themed Attractions

Trip Report | Chessington World of Adventure September 2019

Here’s our full trip report from Chessington World of Adventures. We hope you enjoy this blog and don’t forget to check out our socials for all photographs and images.

We visited on Friday mid September meaning of course it was off peak but queues were genuinely right down to minimum. Almost every ride was walk on and that was the pattern during the entire day. Off peak is personally our favourite time to visit as you can fully embrace the park and get the most out of your day.

This was our second run through this newly re-themed attraction and the first time wasn’t the best but this was an awful experience. It has so much potential but sadly it’s not organised correctly to achieve it. Theming is truthfully so impressive and some of the effects amongst the pre show are fab. However during our run through sadly due to the batching & how unorganised it was loads of children towards the back missed out on whole set pieces & effects. We think all it needs is smaller groups and a themed staff member walking through with the groups.

Due to the lack of people on park it meant we could do the whole park two or three times which was perfect. We managed several re-rides across the majority of rides and fully embrace them for all they have to offer.

Okay why has nobody spoken about the changes within Tomb Blaster? We were pleasantly surprised by the amount of improvements made like lighting, new animatronics (or fixed), improvements to the walls etc. Personally think it’s looking the best we’ve ever seen it (since 2016). The only downfall we found was the broken audio in certain sections, which once it’s fixed this ride will be at its best imo.

We never released how much we loved the coasters (except Rattlesnake) at Chessington until our last visit. They have some truly quality coasters.

We had a lovely trip with our good friend Airtime John, don’t forget to check out his channel click the link here. It was without a doubt our favourite day at Chessington for the 2019 season so far. It was quiet and we managed to do everything across the park except a couple of rides at least twice or more. Our next visit here will be for their Halloween event towards the end of October. So be sure to stay tuned for that trip report.
