This is topic which has been happening since the closure in 2015. We’re going to be talking about our thoughts on the future. By all means we understand not everyone will agree but we’d love to know your thoughts.
Before we begin with the fact we would love to see it reopen. We personally think it would benefit Thorpe Park perfectly especially given it’s the birthday of Thorpe & Loggers this upcoming season. However it doesn’t seem realistic at all we’ll see it return for 2019. Thorpe Park do have a lack rides for the “family” audience of course they have a small selection within the same area where Loggers is sat SBNO. With X now Walking Dead and the height has increased it leaves another empty space for family attractions.
We’d love to believe that an announcement will happen sooner rather than late about the future of Loggers. Going by recent footage and images we’ve saw from the current site although we’re unsure on the exact time of the video. It’s very sad how abandoned it really is there’s trees coming from the troth. Perhaps something can be done to prevent that and reopen it. It will probably cost way more than it’s worth in reality. But other than a bit of cleaning and getting rid of the leaves and plants. It looks in an okay condition from a non technical point of view.
As we’ve stated above we’d love to see Loggers return and we’re completely behind the people who are pushing the matter. It would just be nice to know where it stands and the future. If it’s going to potentially reopen or be demolished it would be just a better overall situation once an announcement has been made. The not knowing is something which really does frustrate us about SBNO rides. Of course we understand sometimes these situations can’t be helped whether it’s through money or other reasons. But Loggers has been sat there doing nothing for almost 4 years now. We really feel it’s time to be honest to what’s happening. Thorpe Park is a park we adore there’s no denying that but we just hope there’s something said soon.
We do have a feeling that perhaps Thorpe Park aren’t sure themselves given when Slammer sat SBNO, the same season they announced the end of its life. Yet it’s been 4 years and nothing has been said there was some teasing across social media late last year. For more on that topic hit the link below to check out Jack Silkstone’s YouTube channel.
