Our Spooky Season Plans 2025

It’s that magnificent time of year the leaves are falling, the crisp in the air and the aroma of pumpkin spice & bonfires. My kind of utopia. So, that only means it’s time to talk about our 2025 Halloween plans with you all & the content you can expect from us.

Scare City:

A new-for-us event this year and it’s Scare City I’ve had my eye on this event for a little while now actually. We’re very excited to check it out with the little we know of this event and the unknown factor of what’s in store. One thing I do know is the fact it’s based at Camelot Theme Park which closed years ago. That alone sets an eerie atmosphere in my mind.

Alton Towers Scarefest:

It’s an annual tradition since 2016 and we haven’t missed a single year yet. Scarefest is an all-around family event for us, and we welcome every last bit of it nowadays as parents. This year the event has seen an overdue change including the loss of mazes but that also brings some gains. We’re of course sad to see the loss of The Attic as that is one of our favourites. But delighted by the new additions for this year which include Edge of the Forest. Alongside two scare zones and plenty of entertainment on offer too. We’ll be naturally checking out the spooky bits over in CBeebies Land too.

Thorpe Park Fright Nights:

Another yearly tradition Fright Nights. This is the only one out of a few of the events we have coming up where the maze line-up stays the same. But honestly, we’re excited for that. We didn’t manage to do any maze except Trailers last year so we’re very keen to spend some time exploring the others. I’ve had my eye on Stitches since the day it launched and can’t wait to FINALLY experience it.

Tulleys Pumpkin Farm:

A new event for us this year with Liara being a little bit older we’re heading for a day at the Pumpkin Farm. Pumpkin picking is something we do annually and the fact that we get to do it this time at Tulleys is exciting. It’s also exciting to make more of a day out of it and an event. From their website, it seems there’ll be photo opportunities, roaming characters & street food. We’re absolutely here for the whole experience and can’t wait for Liara to be involved in the spooky doings.

Tulleys Shocktoberfest:

Of course, if we’re in the area it would be rude not to visit Shocktoberfest too. We can’t wait for THE event of the year. There’s a brand new maze for this season alongside many favourites returning. The new maze is of course taking the place of the loss of The Cellar. Which honestly we’re not too mad about. I’m dreaming of a Shocktoberfest beer and seeing the absolute icon that is Brian but of course getting scared shitless in their mazes too.

Doncaster Fear Factory:

It’s another new for us scream park and that’s Fear Factory! We’re extremely intrigued by what’s possibly in store for us. That’s the beauty of new events you have little to no idea what their mazes entail. I’ve heard brilliant reviews and can’t wait to explore for ourselves!

Xtreme Scream Park:

One of our favourites is back on the cards for us this season after 3 years! It’s nice to see some of our favourites remain on the line-up including Pie Factory, Ash Hell & The Village. 3 of the UK’s best mazes for sure! We also can’t wait to see some of the newer additions that have joined the scares.

The Howl:

After our first-ever visit last year, it was an absolute MUST on our list this season. I love the compactness of this scream park and how the mazes deliver themselves with some really talented actors/actresses. We had some of the most intense scares we’ve had in years at this event and we really can’t wait to get back again this year.

Drayton Manor Monsters & Magic:

We’ve not visited Drayton Manor at Halloween in a very long time. So, we’re intrigued to see how this year’s event has developed. From what we’ve seen on their website it looks to be very fun. Of course, we’ll be paying for the extra costs of some of the experiences particularly the haunted train ride. But we’re also excited to see this through Liara’s eyes too!

Statfold Scream Park:

A brand new event is launching this October and we will be there for the launch night. This event offers 3 scare mazes, fairground rides and all that a scream park would offer. We’re super intrigued and honoured to be part of the launch & absolutely excited to see this event grow across the years.
