With the 2024 season in the very near future, Alton Towers’ managing director released a press release on what to expect from the year ahead. So, let’s fill you in as I relay the email received.
Nemesis Reborn & Forbidden Valley:
Two of the most iconic factors to come to Alton Towers this season. Of course, March 16th is the day they will welcome guests to experience both the area revamp & ride Nemesis once again in all its revivified glory.
New Merchandise & Food & Drinks:
It’s been teased there’ll be new varieties of merchandise across the shops this season. With the much anticipated Nemesis Reborn range being unveiled on opening day. It appears there’ll be new food & beverages across the resort too.
Hex Returns:
The legend of the towers is set to open the doors once more a little later in 2024 for guests to take on once more. It appears the ride has experienced some modifications of its own with new special effects to help enrich the story to the next level.
Skyride Remains Closed:
Unfortunately, the 2024 is yet another year without Skyride. It seems the ride is receiving a huge investment in its infrastructure. However, the resort has ensured additional mobility scooters will be obtainable for guests to hire. It’s a short-term loss for a long-term gain.
Events:
We already know this year’s lineup of events is smaller than prior years but it appears to be quality over quantity. This year you’ll have the opportunity to experience events such as Oktoberfest, Scarefest, Fireworks Spectacular & Christmas.
CBeebies Land Turns 10:
It’s a happy birthday on the cards for CBeebies Land. To which there’s a new character in town & it’s Bluey!! He will be arriving at the resort this Easter. There are still more announcements to follow for the birthday celebrations.
Resort Facelift:
There have been millions funded into the resort to bring it back to its former glory. From ride refreshes to floors to ceilings to pathways to seating & so much more. The resort will be glimmering away and feeling but also appearing extra rejuvenated. It’s not just the theme parks that have had the delight of this but also the hotels and waterpark.
Heritage TLC:
Alton Towers is replenished with heritage and history from the garden to the towers. During closed season there’s been TLC given to The Choragic Monument & Scalloped Wall in the gardens. With improvements made across the gardens specifically, it will go on to bring guests joy for years to come.
Sneak Peak To Scarefest:
During the Summer months, we’ll see Alton Towers Dungeons close ahead of Scarefest. This attraction is experiencing an adaptation to become something extra special for Scarefest. What this entails in full is yet to be disclosed but it’s the first hint towards what can be anticipated for Scarefest 2024.
Overall:
It appears the park is looking to include guests from across the world to enjoy the resort in some form with an announcement on the horizon on how. They’ve also teased the park map has also received a little bit of love & care. It seems this is the season that is the beginning of an exciting era for the park with so much care & attention sparkled across all areas. To me, it feels like the start of a brand new decade for the park where we’ll see it become reformed into that special place once again. Following the success of The Curse it’s felt the park is only on the up from here. There’s one person who’s bringing the magic back and she’s an absolute saver for the park in my opinion & that’s Bianca. She has come in and established beautifully how much she truly cares for the resort and quite truthfully I think she’s the best thing to happen to Alton Towers and the future is nothing short of exciting with her in charge.
So, here is to the 2024 season & we’re so excited to see what it truly entails….
