All That’s Coming to Alton Towers in 2024

A brand new season is just a month away and Alton Towers has shared what’s in store for this year! Let’s dive in and have a chat about what we can all expect.

Nemesis Reborn:

It’s almost time to experience Nemesis in all of its new glory! A confirmation regarding an opening date is yet to be announced by the park. However, it’s definitely very soon. It’s been testing for a few weeks now and looks all but finished. Of course, there are finishing touches to be made by content creators updates. But the iconic rollercoaster will be opening its gates and allowing guests to sit back and embrace it once again. I’m very enthusiastic to ride the beast again!

Return of Hex: The Legend of The Towers:

After a season of being closed, Hex is welcoming guests back through its doors. It’s not apparent whether there are any differences made to the experience but nonetheless, it’s a fan favourite that’s opening up for all to enjoy again.

Events:

This season has seen a reduction in events which could easily imply higher quality in the confirmed events. Returning for this season are Oktoberfest, Scarefest, Fireworks & Christmas. With the missing few events from March to September could it mean more budget for the existing ones? Either way, the 4 incredible events are returning. It seems Scarefest will be having a refresh with “spooks & scares” promised by the park alongside further entertainment. The Fireworks Spectacular also looks to have some brand-new special effects for this year.

Dates for Events;

Oktoberfest – 7th – 29th September

Scarefest – 11th October – 3rd November

Fireworks – 8th – 10th of November

Christmas – 22nd November – 31st December

Alton After Dark:

As a celebration of a brand new season, Alton Towers is opening up into the evening for guests to enjoy the park after dark. The park is opening from 10-8 across 3 selected dates in March – Saturday 16th, 23rd & 30th.

Experiences:

This season has seen the retrieval of the track walks with two rollercoasters being on the offering – Oblivion & Wickerman. These experiences will very likely sell out quite fast so be sure to book yours now. Alongside this is another offering for VIP experiences with a variety of different packages to choose from. These packages all include theme park entry, express parking, fast tracks, exclusive merchandise and more.

Character Meet & Greets:

It seems Alton Towers is allowing guests to meet the mascots from the park during overnight stays and can even meet them during breakfast. Alton Bear will be making surprise appearances across the park and there’s additional street theatre for guests to enjoy.

10 Years of CBeebies Land:

It’s been 10 whole years since CBeebies Land opened at Alton Towers! Within the coming weeks, some of the new and exciting additions will be shared as to what’s in store for the season! This is the UK’s ONLY CBeebies Land with a broad variety of familiar characters to enjoy whether that be in the form of a show or ride! It’ll be interesting to see how the 10th anniversary will be celebrated.
