Could Alton Towers Be Getting A RMC with Project Horizon??

So, John Burton who created the likes of World of Jumanji & The Curse at Alton Manor has quite literally caused chaos and sent the community into a speculative meltdown (myself included😅)! Whilst no doubt laughing at us too!

Okay, what makes everyone (almost everyone) suspect that Alton Towers will be getting an RMC? If I’m honest I feel pretty much everyone will know why this is presumed. But in case you have missed it. Nation Rollercoaster Day saw John Burton do a walk-around Q&A at Alton Towers where he responded to numerous questions including when an RMC will come to a park.… to which he sipped from his RMC mug and said: “Can’t talk about what’s potentially on the horizon”.  Of course, this could purely get everyone gossiping and speculating. But it could also be a major teaser to what could genuinely become Project Horizon that’s set to open in 2025. It also seems the same day RMC began to send content creators/enthusiasts jigsaw pieces that come together to create a ride layout with an announcement to come “soon”. Could it be a conscience? I’m not sure.

Project Horizon is Alton Towers’ next major project which is based all indoors over by the World of David Williams & The Dungeons. With it being indoors let’s be honest it won’t be too tricky to keep the contents of the inside quiet. Typically, Alton Towers do like to produce a UKs first and an RMC would be precisely that. Personally, I think an RMC would be a radiant addition to Alton Towers as it’ll be something unusual to their offering that you can’t find elsewhere in the UK. I’m yet to experience an RMC myself and would be captivated by this potential next big thing at our local. But that’s not to say for a fact it’ll be the case and this could all be one very effective PR stunt to get the hype surrounding Project Horizon. I guess time will tell and we’ll see the closer we get to this project.

What do you think? Could this be one tactic to get us all speaking of the future project or is this a substantial enough teaser for us? It’s a fun time to be an enthusiast nonetheless!

Thank you so much for reading & let me know your thoughts!
