Have you ever heard a specific ride get so much stick you actually feel anxious to ride it? But then you come off and go actually no that wasn’t as bad as everyone says! We have actually had this happen a few times and I thought why not sit down & share these moments with you?
Mumbo Jumbo – Flamingo Land:
I’ll confess that this coaster off-ride looks horrendous. However, it rode so well. I heard some horror stories of how painful it is on board but honestly, it wasn’t that bad at all. My main gripe was purely been sat in the station as the way the seats are shaped puts pressure on your back. But once you’re moving about the ride, it’s a lot better. It’s horrid how little there is to hold you in mind but as an overall coaster, it’s not half as bad as I heard it to be. I thoroughly enjoyed it even if I was terrified.
Infusion – Blackpool Pleasure Beach
Firstly, it can be a devil of a ride. But it is not as bad as people say. I have rode far worst out there then this. Sit on the front row & it’ll be a little dream. It’s that coaster that is so intense I sound like a grunting pig! Yet the nearer to the front you go the better ride you will get, trust me.
Furious Baco – PortAventura World:
The seat depends on the experience admittedly. But if you are sat on the inner it’s a gorgeous coaster and so slick. On the outer was a whole other experience but let’s leave that aside. It’s a fun little thing and gets far too much crap for what it deserves. It’s better than Shambhala.
Rita – Alton Towers:
There isn’t anything wrong with Rita besides the name which sounds like your good old favourite aunt. It’s fierce, has airtime, is thrilling & relatively smooth. Not like glass smooth but nor does it rattle your bones off neither. My biggest nitpick with this ride is purely the fact it feels like it’s not built long-term with it being so raised and looking somewhat temporary. Other than that I truly do enjoy riding Rita after all she was once known as the queen of speed for a reason.
Odyssey – Fantasy Island:
Okay, I’ll confess I was part of the anti-Odyssey crew a few years ago… BUT since riding last time I am the complete opposite what an absolute dream. It was a lot smoother than the first time but equally VILE on the first drop. It’s alarming how tall the damn thing is. But strictly speaking, it doesn’t bash you around as the entire world says trust me.

What rides have you left afterwards thinking actually it wasn’t that bad. I’d love to hear about them!
