Project Exodus Manufacturer Revealed & Our Honest Thoughts

Yes, I’m late to the party. But here we are in 2023 sat discussing the new rollercoaster set to open at Thorpe Park next year. Is it me or does it feel as if it’s going crazy fast? One minute we’re sat eagerly awaiting the green light then the next thing you know the footers are at the park and Loggers Leap is officially history. Mental. So, here is a little update in regard to the progress with some sincere opinions from us.

Since we last talked about Project Exodus groundwork has fully commenced. Loggers Leap is in the process of being torn down and the former Creek Freak building has gone. Quite honestly, watching the video of this happening was quite sad. I do hope we see the Buckwheats again in the future. As for Loggers I’ll always be sad to the face we weren’t lucky to build memories on it. But the future is bright and rather tall, right?

Okay, so the latest development is in regards to the manufacturer is Mack Rides. I’m personally a lover of their dark & water rides. The few rollercoasters I have done have all been fun. I’m eager to see the comparison from Arrow & B&M to Mack Rides Hypercoasters. It looks stunning from all the concept art which has been shared. I’m just hoping it’s not another Icon situation where in a few years it becomes moderately dull of an experience. They are both very distinct from one another given two separate rollercoaster types. My next concern lies with the restraints. I’m praying they aren’t restrictive for those with bigger thighs like myself.

Those slight concerns pushed aside let’s acknowledge the fact it’s the UK’s first Mack hypercoaster & only the second of that rollercoaster type. Not to overlook the fact it’s set to take the record for the UK’s tallest as well. That’s some fundamental big bars to be setting & pushing I think. It’ll be our first-ever Mack hyper as well which makes me so enthusiastic. Typically Mack has real glass-like smoothness on their coasters too which is always a win. I’m super captivated by how it will ride & what the overall theme & experience is going to entail.

So, what do we all think of the news? Are we happy with the selected manufacturer?
