The day has arrived & although this isn’t a goodbye forever it’s purely a see you in your new life kind of blog. However, it is a farewell to Nemesis as we know her right now. Therefore, we are all well in our right to feel a little bit of despair given the past 28 years of joy she’s brought her riders. Let’s share some tenderness with the beast herself…
Nemesis is a truly beautiful rollercoaster that is quite plainly a fierce machine that leaves you with happiness, tingling toes and the occasional headache. The fact she’s in her pit with her own substantial story is one of the reasons why she is so special. She transformed the UK rollercoaster industry from the moment she was created and made Alton Towers what it is today.
As many of you hopefully know Nemesis is just set to face a complete re-track. Indicating this rollercoaster will be returning with a new lease on life one of which will endure another 30 years without any luck. This goes to show how cherished this coaster is and the fact that Towers themselves acknowledge that too. Nobody quite knows the degree this transformation will have and whether it’ll feature anything added to the name or new theming. But one thing for sure is the future is secured thank goodness. However, it seems moderately noticeable that the iconic roar will be a faraway memory once the reopening comes along. It is known that we will be able to ride Nemesis once again in 2024 just in time for her 30th birthday!
So, will the reborn Nemesis be classed as a new cred? Without a doubt, a new controversy will serve the community and my verdict is yes! It is a brand new track at the end of the day. But that’s a subject for another day. For now, Nemesis it’s been truly spectacular and we can’t wait to ride you in your fresh glory and reborn shape!
