Is Nemesis Reborn A New Cred Though?

As 2022 comes to a close I feel a reoccurring debate that we will see during the 2023 season is whether or not we can all count Nemesis as a new cred once it reopens. Admittedly, it’s a blurry line as to whether you do or don’t. I guess it’s time for another one of my self-debates where the conclusion is never truly reached but it starts a rather fascinating conversation anyway!

Please, don’t take this too seriously. This purely a fun discussion style of blog posts, it’s not deep.

It is a brand new rollercoaster track that none of us has ridden previously. So, surely that means it is a new cred. When you’re riding a new rollercoaster that has the same layout as another do you count that is the same one? It’s a funny old argument, isn’t it?

Yet I can understand why some may not class this as a new cred given it’s the same name, location & layout as the retired track. But then if that’s the case with location & name out of the equation why is SIK classed as a new cred given it has the exact layout as Colossus?

So, is this a new cred? I feel it inevitably is. If it was just some work happening to the current track then no it wouldn’t be. But given it is a brand new rollercoaster track with the the same layout I think it is personally. For the record, I’ll be counting it on my coaster count for sure.

What about you? Will you be classing this rollercoaster as a new cred too?
