Thorpe Park Fright Nights 2022 Line Up

The promo began mid August where we saw what looked like a demon with a key. The key has been the main feature throughout all the teasing this season & gradually Thorpe Park has been unlocking door by door the line-up to this year’s event. I loved following along with the door opening almost like a little advent calendar for the best thing. spookiness. So, what can you expect from this year’s event?

Birthday Bash:

21 years of Fright Nights it was only right this returned to celebrate! This is a brilliant show to watch with such a variety of characters to interact with.

Trailers:

Of course, the most genius maze for 2021 has returned for this season. The promo claims it to be the final opportunity you will get to see Bozo Playzone which I assume is referring to the takeover that has happened during the Summer. Unless this room is about to retired ahead of 2023 although I do hope not. From the video, it seems each room is almost a sequel or a follow-up from last year which is always a cool little touch. I doubt personally much will alter in regards to the said rooms but the thought behind the naming is pretty awesome.

Mawkin Meadows:

The crows are returning and it seems they have a bigger space this season (I could be wrong) but they are back. For me, they are one of the most terrify characters to ever be created in any scary event. They just petrify the life out of me. This seems to be another scare zone meaning it’s a free walkthrough in their own little set on their path. I would assume nearby where the former Saw Alive maze once was placed nearby Colossus.

Creek Freak Unchained:

Something I did not anticipate seeing return this season is the Buckwheats roaming team. This year with Old Town remaining closed for Project Exodus the park has thought outside the box and they have now become a roaming team across the park. You don’t particularly know their whereabouts but there’ll be about. I’m very glad to see them return for another season.

Creak Freak Massacre – The Final Cut:

Ah man the iconic maze returns for another season! But the new title makes me fear for the future. Of course, we are all aware of the fact the future is up in the air for this maze given the building is set to be demolished for Project Exodus. But could it be the final cut for this building until they find residence elsewhere? Only time will tell…

Deaths Doors:

From the teaser we’ve seen so far this looks like to be great! I loved how the teaser gave nods to previous mazes always a sucker for that style of promo. But this looks to involve a demon like character which can never mean anything friendly haha! It appears it is a scare zone which is a surprise but it’ll be interesting how it plays out to be!

The Terminal:

One of the newbies to join the line up is The Terminal. This appears to be a audio scare experience but not a great ordeal has been shared just yet. I think it’s interesting to see such a unique experience join the line up although I’m not too sure how to feel about it I’m also not writing it off to be rubbish. Very open to see what happens with this.

Lycan Thorpe vs Amity High: Graduation:

It seems it’s the final year for the two schools & their rivalry. They have gone down so well in previous years and are very much loved. But it’s exciting to know it’s their final season & at least they get their time to say farewell to the Fright Night lovers rather than just disappearing.

Survival Games:

A brand new multi route scare maze yet another brand new concept to come from Thorpe Park. It’s nice to see the park is investing into more unique attraction rather than bog standard newly themed maze.

Overall:

As usual Thorpe Park are operating a ticket based system for those wanting to experience their scare mazes. You can purchase a one off ticket or a bundle to include them all including the scare experience. Annual Passholders do receive discount of those tickets too. The line-up is extremely unique in comparison to previous years with a lot of new experiences being tried. It’ll be interesting to see how it goes down. It definitely feels as if this season is the farewell to the reoccurring returnees and next year will be a reset.
