Alton Towers
Alton Towers is the best UK theme park considering how much there is to explore besides the theme park. Of course, the main reason is the theme park. Inside the theme park, there is a lot more to explore aside from the rides including The Tower Ruins, Sealife Centre & The Gardens. There is a lot of history within the park too. The rides themselves are of high quality and have themes too.
Throughout the year there is plenty of events to experience too. Mardi Gras, Festival of the Thrills, Oktoberfest, Scarefest, Fireworks & Christmas. Along with these events tends to come extra entertainment, characters, food & drink.
Moving away from the theme park there is so much on offer on the outside. The Extraordinary Golf is a fun way to spend the end or the start of your day. It’s an attraction for those fans with plenty of easter eggs from past attractions. Something else to explore is the Waterpark. This for us is an all-day kind of attraction with such a wide range to explore.
Of course, not forgetting the beautiful on-site accommodations. There are 6 places to choose from to stay. We have stayed over at the Enchanted Village which I’ll pop the review blog HERE. We do also have a stay booked in the Stargazing Pods. As a Merlin Annual Passholder, you do receive 20% off stays through the Merlin Holiday Club.
So, with all the above in mind, this is exactly why Alton Towers is our favourite theme park here in the UK. There is such a wide variety to do and explore in and around the theme park.
