Our annual London trip came around yet again & we began the trip at Legoland Windsor. It had been a while since we last visited so a mid-week during off peak was just what we wanted!
Queues:
Thankfully, it was extremely quiet during our trip. We visited on a Wednesday off-peak therefore it was to be expected. No ride got above 20 minutes tops. There were a few school trips but they did not impact the queues all that much at all.
Mini Land:
Of course, we the recent sad news of the loss of the Queen it was lovely to see a memorial become part of mini land. It felt somewhat special to see such a thing. But aside from this mini land was looking absolutely amazing. There was so many little effects and details I never had noticed before.
The Rides:
It seemed all of the rides were at their finest. The effects were working on them all and all reliably running which is always great. It seemed the operations were at their finest also. There was something quite wonderful at seen Legoland’s ride looking and riding so greatly.
Magical Forest Walk Through:
Brand new for 2022 is the Lego Mythica Magical Forest. Again this has been finished to such perfection and great detail. There’s so much to explore within this small walk-through. Something which I love is the interactive throughout. Scanning the AR and watching the figure come to life is so unique and brilliant.
Food:
The main downfall of the day for us was the quality of food. We forgot to pick up some food before heading into the park meaning we had to eat there instead. We headed to the Burger Kitchen near Pirate Falls for what we had hoped to be a lovely meal. It ended up not all that great. Pricing is your standard theme park prices with your MAP you do of course get discount. The staff were lovely. However, the food was just awful in all honesty. It seems to be a reoccurring pattern this season across the parks where the food is not all that great. If you eat at Costa you’ll be fine their quality is gorgeous but other food outlets not so much unfortunately.
Overall:
We had the most fun we have had at Legoland in so long. The fact we took Ants brother for his first visit was amazing to see his reactions and love for the park. Legoland truly was at its best and the staff were the loveliest we’ve experienced. Everything looked amazing the rides were at their utter best and this park truly is a little gem!
