Last Saturday we headed to Drayton Manor’s fireworks display after nearly 2 years since their last. There is often something exceptionally special about this type of event and Saturday was no exception neither. So, let’s have a chin wag about our day!
Entertainment:
Heading into the park it was apparent the park was flourishing with such high energy and further entertainment across the park. We saw a few roaming teams that was keeping guest entertained. Saw the iconic mascot for the park Rory too. It’s lovely to see entertainment evolving as a key part of the day at Drayton Manor.
The Rides:
Of course, as most of you know it was the last weekend for Pandemonium for future improvement as shared by the park. It’s beautiful to watch the park receiving frequent investments. We arrived significantly late in the day which meant we didn’t succeed to ride everything. But every ride was available except for a handful including River Rapids & The Train.
Spooky Theming:
The day ahead of Halloween so as anticipated the park was beautifully decorated with spooky props & theming dotted across the park. In comparison to previous years it appeared there were a lot further decorations than usual which is fab to see.
The Fireworks:
Fireworks typically make me quite emotional as it is. But these just hit so differently. I adored the best of British display they done a few years ago but these touched my heart. The way they incorporated the craziness we have all gone through over the last year into the show really touched on how much has occurred. There were touches on when lockdown got declared, the clap for NHS, loss of Prince Phillip and remembrance to Captain Sir Tom Moore. But also all of the amazing things that has been accomplished including achievements from the F1, the football and so much more. The fireworks themselves were exceptional as per normal. It’ll always astonish me how the audio to the fireworks are incredibly in sync. It was magical to be back watching these in our local park after the success they have seen this year too. Drayton Manor will always hold a sentimental spot in our hearts and the fireworks is one of our events they host.
Overall:
As I’ve referred to before it was truly something extraordinary to watch once again after the insane year the world has seen. Drayton Manor never fail to take me back by how well they can do fireworks and this year wasn’t any exception. I loved seeing Drayton thrive and go from strength to strength this year and can’t wait to see what the future holds. I am so hyped to see what next season brings to the park.
