Am I A Theme Park Enthusiast? – The Beginners Guide:

Are you in that stage of potentially acknowledging yourself as a theme park nerd. I’ve been there and I’m sure pretty much we all have to. It can be a confusing situation. Well, I thought I’d put together a beginners guide to help comprehend whether or not you are a Theme park enthusiast. Of course, this is just a bit of fun and you don’t have to do any of the following to be an enthusiast just follow your heart & do what you cherish, as long as it doesn’t put your harm’s way.

Visit Theme Parks Regularly:

You’ve booked that one visit to a theme park which has gradually turned into more than 5 trips within 2 or 3 months? It’s deliberately becoming more frequent and season passes are popping into mind? That also happened to me haha.

Know 5 or More Ride Types or Manufactures:

Ah, the geeky knowledge began to sink in? Yeah, same. It took me 6 months after recognizing what I love to know at least 20 various ride manufacturers & ride types. But ask me now what ride is manufactured by who with a single picture, you’ll have no chance. *You don’t have to have knowledge of this*

Own A Themed Audio CD or Listen To Ride Soundtracks On YouTube?

We’ve all been guilty of sticking on-ride audio, especially during the closed season. I used to love playing planet coaster listening to Alton Towers tracks! People listen to soundtracks to movies so why not rejoice a bit of fine art in the form of theme park audio too.

500+ Rollercoaster Photos On Your Phone:

Who doesn’t stand in queue lines having a full-on photoshoot with the rollercoaster? It’s unthinkable to not end up with a phone full of theme park associated photos & videos after a visit. I’ve always found myself having a massive interest in devoting time to each theme park trip purely to taking photos (perhaps you know this by my Instagram?)

Own 3 or More Theme Park T-Shirts:

I feel the odd t-shirt here and there is standard for pretty much anyone as they are normally used for bragging purposes. Whereas an enthusiast will see this clothing as fashion and will establish outfits out of it and wear it on an average day. Not to ignore the fact that the ratio of theme park t-shirts to normal vastly become very one-sided, or at least it has for me!

Understand Theme Park Nerds Terminology:

If you have discovered a whole theme park nerd dictionary to understand every area of theme parks, then welcome aboard! We have phrases for pretty much every characteristic of a rollercoaster. You’ll become fluent before you know it.

Considering or Own A Annual Pass:

Visit so much your now considering an annual pass? Or perhaps you already made the leap and have one. Well, welcome to the theme park nerd crew! You are welcomed by us all and have fun!

So, at which of these stages did you figure out your passion for theme parks? For me, it was the frequent urge to visit! I hope you’ve enjoyed this blog post it’s just a little fun and who knows it may even help one of you guys understand your also a theme park nerd like me! Either way, feel free to add on some more stages in the comments below or across my socials!
