Honestly, I have always loved this film franchise and the fact it has an entire dark ride based on it makes me insanely happy & eager to book a trip to experience it. I can recall seeing the concept art floating around a few years back and knew then I had to visit. So let’s talk about this ride now there is actually footage of it in the world!
THIS MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS
Let’s begin with what I can only assume is the pre-show with Max & Duke. Both of these characters are done so well. I love how life like they look on a video and am super curious if it’ll be the same in person. I think they put the scene together so beautifully.
The carriages and the station again looks lush. I love how you are sat in pizza boxes essentially. The surrounding theming is gorgeous. The first scene looks slightly manic I’m not entirely sure as a guest you’d know where to look really. There is so much happening that even in the video I have watched it felt a bit crazy and I weren’t sure where to watch. But all the characters you meet look fab!! The builidng sets look insane with the combination of lighting and screens to compliment them as well as the hanging laundry as if you are actually in the iconic street!
Something I find so sweet is the fact so many of the characters are apart of this ride too and the audio is as chatoic as the scenes your passing through! From a viewer watching the video perspectic it seems both physical sets to screens is equally done but both of which compliment one another to show the story you are passing through.
Another thing I adore about this ride is the story of adoption. As many know how much I support the whole ad don’t shop front so this is so wholesome to see incorpoated into a dark ride. Overall I think this dark ride is so beautifully done and I can only imagine it will be as beautiful if not more in person. I really hope to get out there one day soon to experience this awesome attraction!
