What I Think Chessington World of Adventures Will Look Like In 10 Years?

I shared a blog post similar to this but about Thorpe Park a few months ago, I’ll leave it linked HERE. However today I thought I’d discuss CWOA &  how I think the park could look within the next 10 years. Not that I need to tell you guys but this is purely speculation. As always I know nothing, this is just my opinions. I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Rattlesnakes Closure:

Perhaps this is just me that thinks Rattlesnake life is due to end soon. It might be down to the fact I hate the sodding thing. But I just feel it’s getting on and I know already a lot are going to tell me it’ll be more or less Vampire that leaves, I’ll touch on that at the end. But I think Rattlesnake will be the first coaster to leave the park.

Gruffalo Re-Theme:

IPs eventually run out and I’m unsure on how long they have this IP for. However, I’d imagine we would probably see a re-theme in this location during this period. I could be wrong of course. But I’d love to see an original theme return in this spot. Not necessarily a Bubbleworks remaster but just something bright, colourful & happy yet original to the park.

New Family Rollercoaster:

I’d love to believe this is going to happen. It doesn’t have to be anything all that fancy. A simple wooden rollercoaster or launch coaster similar to Velocity at Flamingo Land. Just something small that will makes a bold footprint in the parks line up. But who knows they could go for something on a much larger scale?

New/Re-Themed Area:

I’m thinking a brand new area or a re-theme to an existing area. Of course, 2020 saw the brand new Rainforest area open. Which is fab for its target audience. However, I genuinely think we will see either a brand new area open if they have room to expand or a complete overhaul to an existing one, which one I ain’t sure about.

Flat Rides Removed:

Unfortunately for the UK it often seems our flat rides are just awaiting their removal. It’s almost as if they are dying out which I think is very sad. But I can see the likes of Seastorm getting removed within the next 10 years. In my opinion, it’s become a ride which started to become less reliable but also on ride feels quite old & jolty.

Bigger Halloween Event:

I honestly believe Chessington is a missed opportunity when it comes down to Halloween events. It is home to one of the UKs best scare mazes in Creepy Caves. The team behind this maze are phenomenal. They could quite easily create a big scream park event and become one of the biggest & best events there is. I can just see their Halloween offering a slowly bigger & bolder event in the coming years, or at least I hope so anyway.

Potential Removal of Vampire:

I’ve left this to last as it’s something I honestly don’t want to think about. I love this coaster so much & the thought of it leaving genuinely is heartbreaking. I’d love to believe it’ll receive all the work it needs to remain for another 30 odd years but I’m not all that sure on the likelihood of that happening, unfortunately.

There you have it my opinion on how Chessy will look in the next 10 years. I hope you’ve enjoyed and be sure to share your thoughts with me in the comments or across my socials!

Thank you for reading as always!
