This is just a bit of fun really to lighten up the mood from the current stressful times. Here’s a few rides we’d want to immortalise and why? I’d love to know your views too!
The Swarm – Thorpe Park:
It’s one of those coasters which I adore and wouldn’t ever want to see leave. There’s so much beyond a track layout like theming & story. It’s one of those rides which regardless of where you’re sat your bound to have the best experience. It’s also a day & night time coaster both offer rather different experiences to one another whilst providing equally as much joy.
Big Dipper – Blackpool Pleasure Beach:
Yes, yes I know it’s rather painful on a wheel seats I understand that. But the few rides we managed to do during the short amount of opening for the 2020 season it’s riding lovely. It’s been rather smooth and all told fab. Even if the final ride we had was a little slower then we’d like it was still fun.
Thirteen – Alton Towers:
Of course, thirteen has to be part of this list. It’s my personal favourite within the UK. It has a lot to offer and more than usually acknowledged. The first drop is something else and offers a rather thrilling experience! The indoor sections are so unique and honestly not a natural feeling on a coaster for sure. But that’s all part of why we’d love it to remain forever.
Dragons Fury – Chessington World of Adventures:
THE best spinning coaster we’ve experienced to date. It simply provides a little bit of everything including an insane spin when all weight is one side of the carriage. Anyone else loves the pop of airtime you get mid run? It’s just outstanding and a coaster which we’d love to have nearer to home!
Nemesis – Alton Towers:
If I’m honest Nemesis doesn’t really sit in my top 5 rollercoasters as such. However I don’t think I could ever bare the pain of seen it leave the park in all honesty. I’m not saying I dislike this coaster as such as it is one of the best we have in the UK but I prefer others more to it.
Scenic Railway – Dreamland Margate:
Oh Scenic Railway is so fab. It’s a coaster I wanted to ride for so many years prior to riding it & it just did not disappoint. It filled my heart with nothing but joy. I just hope we get to experience it again next season!
What UK rollercoasters would you immortalise if you had the chance?
